boiling in overflow reservoir

i've noticed every time i turn my coupe off after driving a little bit i hearing boiling sounds
and found that radiator overflow reservoir fluids are boiling for a minute or 2 then stops.

what does that usually mean?

it could be just full and purging excess water or mean that the radiator is getting poor circulation or thermostat going bad. Whats the hand read even though id never trust a oem gauge ?

its running at perfect perfect temperature ( from what the gauge reads lol)

hmm have you filled the radiator up recently or topped it off ?
Also how good is the fans blowing or coming on ?

check your radiator cap, a radiator cap helps pressurize the cooling system.

correct pressure raises boiling point. seems like your cap could be the cause. of course im just going by what u are saying.

That's what my old sedan engine was doing when I bought it, bubbles all the time. Turns out it was obvious after I thought about it. It was compression being blown into the coolant system all the time. I'd be afraid to take it on a long drive.

I can say a bhg will definitely cause this, I had an EF that did the exact same thing. It was fun to pull the spark plugs and turn the engine over and watch the water shoot out of the cylinders lol

be careful it might not be a blown gasket. It could just be an air pocket in the coolant or radiator sucks...is it a stock engine...built....turbo?

I know i had a fresh build that was over heating like no tomorrow...tacking out the sensor and boiling over craziness...i bled and bled and added and added and it fixed itself. this was like 5 or 6 years ago.

If u trully think it's your head gasket Do a block test, the kit is only like 20 bucks, appose to buying the headgasket set and still having the same problem after a few hundred bucks.

had the same problem on a 94 ex, changed the radiator and it never gave me any trouble after.

my 92 accord does the same thing. it had an air pocket in cooling system 0_0
