Using heat sensitive rotor paint (i think it's for the different temp of 750, 1000, & 1250 degrees F) is helpful in determining correct brake pad compounds and whether additional cooling/ducting is necessary.

while we are on the subject they also make temp strips to put on your calipers. :)
i have been thinking about getting some but i dont need them. anyhow, it would be fun to try and make them hot.

awesome setup anyways......charlie your brakes don't get hot enough for you to even paint anything, but if you want I will buy you some awesome pepboys caliper paint
