Ok folks, we have two more coming up and we haven't really nailed down a spot for either one. So if you would, post up some good, semi-local spots to go. We can use the ones we've already been using (Fort Yargo, Mary Alice) or we can try to come up with another. Stone Mountain could be a good spot, but it would cost the $8 or whatever it is to get in. I would pay but I don't know who else would.

So post up. Later, QD.

I'd pay for Stoner Mountain. The beauty of the Old School meets is that we can hold them anywhere. Hell, make it a Wal Mart parking lot and then lets go on a cruise. Do it at the skating rink and lets see whose skills are rusty. It doesn't matter to me. Fort Yargo was a good place.

I'd pay for Stone Mountain, really anywhere south of garage zero would be a nice change for me. But i was planining of going camping near the venue of the next meet, and fort yargo has camping on site, so no complaints if it's there. Now that the lake is up wouldn't Mary Alice be packed with trucks/boats any givin weekend?

I don't really care where it is. Even though I only get 8 miles to the gallon, i'll still load up and drive.

Stone Mountain sounds good. We had to pay for the Fort Yargo meet and i thought it was a good turn out.

That's an awesome suggestion. I'd love to go there. Don't know if anyone else will drive that far, though. Later, QD.

I would be fine with Stone Mountain too, also I am still going to suggest the drive-in though.

$8 is doable. It sounds like a cool place for a meet.

I agree with the Crown. We should do something south of the city. If anyone wants to meet up and check a few places out, hit me up im game after 6. A Drive in meet would be great. They open up early to let people set up and grill. And we would have to do certain screens though. Last time I tried to go in a lowered car I almost got stuck on one of the humps at screen 3.

Starlight Six? I second this. The Camaro should be running to bring it out finally.

I have no idea. It seems most of the interest has died down. So I don't know. Later, QD.

Maybe just do a shop meet? And cookout? It's pretty central and won't take much planning and everyone can bring a food item?

They have been posting the meets on JNC every couple of weeks as cumming/winder. Some peaple might be planning on coming that see it there. Just sayin, i'd rather do it a the shop too if they are cool with it.

On the main blog. It will say something like "upcoming events" and our meets will be listed. It's not in the forum, so no way of telling if anyone is planning on coming.

Stone mountain has a camp ground that doesn't seem so bad. On the other side of the mountain

I think it should just be at Mary Alice park where it was to begin with, its already posted that way several places. May as well leave it that way to avoid confusion and a possible low turn out.

The only problem with Mary Alice is that it's Labor Day Weekend, so it may be packed. I was thinking about the shop too but they are loaded with cars too.

Now that the Lake is back to normal, i assume you use the boat docks at mary Alice. Anyone know? If so it will be packed for sure.

I'm game for a meet. There are several day use area's up around Allatoona Lake that we could meet around. It doesn't matter though, any place will be fine. Hopefully bodywork on the 280 will be started here soon.. so it'll look rough.

Anyone know if this is happening or not at Mary Alice on Sept. 4??? There's a Mitsu group that was planning a trip over based on info from Garage Zero that said 9/4.....but the info is gone. Need to let them know if it has been canceled/changed. Thanks.

I know Garage Zero is working plans for an event for October which will hopefully be a mountain drive / cookout affair.

I, briefly, texted John today. John may or may not be there, since he is swamped with work. I'll try and get with everyone else and remind them about the meet. There's just been so much goin' on lately.

OK Guys here is the deal
On Oct 23 we will be having a Old School meet at the shop, JITB and the Southern Fresh crew will also be in attendance. The meet will start around 2 and the cars will be parked in the upper Parking lot. This meet is set in stone, and I need all parties who know who they are to call me for the details. It is very true about how swamped I am right now. I got 1 huge project that is wrapping up and I have 3 months of other projects to finish up as well so please contact me through other means ( Like call me or Kelly ) If you have any questions. The Face Book event page shows at least 50 people attending and I am just now formaly telling the IA community so it should be a huge event.

Now on to the next thing...
As some of you know my wife kelly took me camping a few weeks ago. I have never been camping befor (cause im of the colored persuasion) and I really enjoyed it. Best of all the camp grounds were on the same roads we took last year for the mountain run.

SO i was thinking that we need to have a camping/mountain run!
Reason being that making a mountain run sucks on the way home, so why not stay up there and enjoy the roads all we want. We can cruise up there then set up camp then ride to our hearts content. I was thinking of doing it in november, I know it will be colder but I think It will be bad ASS. So talk to your people and your spouses if you have them and lets make sure this happens and happens right. I think if we plan this right we could really have a great time. Please let me know anyones ideas on the subject and when you come to the oct meet please talk to kelly or I and QD about it (I have not talked to him yet but I will try and call him after I post this)

Good idea man, i love to camp. We have camped and stayed in hotels for previous meets like the Mitty, and some at the mary alice/ft yargo. I hate driving all the way home after the meet, esp. if it's a mountain run.
