Yeah I'm in the same boat as you except my valve cover hits my hood.

I used extended bolts, and then put them through a short-well socket. So take the OE bolt that holds the hood onto the latch into Home Depot, then figure out what size/thread it is. Get bolts that are about 1.5"-2" (if they're too long when bolting up then put a washer or 2, but you should be fine).

^^^how much does it hit your hood by? You might be able to shim your engine down a little.

But to the Op, it would take a lot at the back to do very little at the front of the hood. I have my hood spaced on one of my hatches because I have an h2b, not because I want to.

You can only space the back.....wont the front still make contact?

my thoughts are that if a raise the baack like 2 inch or so the wastegate will one be touching the hood. not putting pressure on it when it is closed

The waste gate is so close to the latch it doesn't seem like that would work though. Wont be wasting much money though if it doesn't work.

Yeah when I had spacers, I just used some old skate board wheel bearings I had laying around along with some extended bolts from ace.lol

Or you could just get an elbow for your waste gate and turn it 90 degrees away from where its going.
