Hey, is it at all possible to maybe think about having the meet on a friday or a saturday? I hate driving to duluth, besides I work overnight so I cant come to the thurday night one lol (I have no life lol)

You're really gonna argue and say the quality of cars and people didn't go down substantially when the meet moved to this new location? Definitely doesn't have the same feel as riverside and there are a lot of ricers. I'm sure someone will do something stupid enough to get everyone kicked out of there as well.

you're right about the quality of cars, but not everyone has heard of the new spot, not everyone is on IA....it feels the same to me...and the cops catch the dumb people, well 99% of them.

I don't see what you're trying to say...I've been going to the riverside meet since early 07, that meet and this "new" meet feel the same to me, hell all car meets do lol.

Cops give out the tickets to people doing stupid things, not to the ones that are just hanging out. You won't get kicked out if you're not doing anything stupid. Simple as it gets.

Truly spoken before knowing facts. I am not trying to move it, neither did i contact sonic owner if he wants us back or not. I love how everyone plants it on me "i am jealous" or "you are hating" when i post anything gwinnett meet related.

we kept them away for 2 years at Riverside Sonic ;). Till other thought it was needed to step in screw up perfect meet.

Agreed, I have been to new spot twice since it started and i didn't see 75% of the quality car/people that used to show up at Riverside. I don't know if it's just me, but riverside had a vibe & homely feeling to it. Mostly everyone know everyone. It is/will be missed.

I agree with you on that one, i go to the new meet but not to look at other cars because they all suck other then what my friends drive and thats not even an understatement theres like maybe 2-3 hondas that are ok. And the location isnt even really that good your trapped down in a lil hole in a shitty parking lot at least sonic was smooth and there was food right there.

well now that the weather is getting better, we will see more people come out I'm sure. and seriously, this spot is perfect when it comes to not getting complaints because there is no one around to complain. lol.

lol I know of atleast 2 times where someone tried a burnout, they got ticketed. so its headed in the right direction I believe.

Last meet there was a SLK was trying to do a burn out, and people created a "haul ass lane". Before leaving few drove around to one end of the lot and hauled ass (full throttle) to the other end all while there were other cars/people walking around. If all this can be fixed, it would be a great meet.

No sir, get it right. No one hauled ass in Sonic parking. They did Riverside Pkwy the road, but only few. Twice there was a white 350z and IS300 going back and forth in back of the lot and I personally walked up and told them to cut it out. I didn't see another modified car hauling in parking lot after. After that only shit that happened was Redneck trucks.
At Sonic it was layed down from day 1, and for the longest time it was respected. U know it as well as i do ;).

You kiddin me? So new location being bigger gives them right to haul ass? And You really think new lot is bigger than Sonic? It's more square than Sonic, which was lenghty (more room to haul since it's longer). Lots are about the same size.
2nd "New Sonic meet" there were cars drifting & mustang burn out, meet after a SUV drifting, and every meet new things were attempted. Shit started at Sonic 2-3year after meet started. New Sonic intially started with stupid stuff. You have been to soinc long enough to know this.

What's up everybody. I'm new to I.A. and to Lawrenceville (just moved here from Bethlehem). I'm glad to have found this meet and I'd have to agree about the great turnout. Last night was the first time I'd been but it definitely won't be my last! My girlfriend really enjoyed it too. I should have walked around and mingled more though. Did anybody else see the cop in the charger almost have a head-on collision with another cop who was coming in at the same time he was haulin' ass outta there? It was pretty entertaining! My only disappointment was that I only saw one other Z the whole night. I currently do not have a crew to roll with so I was wondering if there are any Z or Nissan crews out there? Just hit me up if you know of one.

so who wrapped there Blue Subaru around the power pole up the road from the meet the cops came down and were askin about if we knew them(hope this isn't the end of the new meet)... how u hit a pole on a straight ass road i don't know... your cars AWD it wasn't wet... and I'm so puzzled.... if anyone know any more info please speak up (they def. had to be leaving or going to the meet)

all i want to know is if it was related to the meet... it could have just been irony, and i just hope it doesn't affect the meet because personally i like the new spot plenty of space good security and foods not far.
everyone just keep an ear out. the wreck happened around 11:45-12:30 so there wasn't a TON of people still there.

You also slow the down when there are people in the way and wait for them to move. You don't just keep going and hope they move in time. Use common sense, inexperienced driver or not.
