so i put a d16y7 block with a d16y8 head on it in my 93 civic. i then got a dizzy of a z6 it pluged in and the car cranked if you held the dizzy on there by hand but the dizzy wouldnt bolt up to the head so car was running fine then i bought a y8 dizzy and it bolted up i cut and rewired the plugs for obd1. but now my car wont crank with either dizzy. and the IVAC is making a humming noice. all the car does is turn over and make a sound like the motor is under water or something. i have no clue why it would have cranked yesterday and ran fine but now it wont.... i need serious help please im begging you lol.

dizzy might be off 180 or you wired it up wrong

It ran fine before you cut and spliced the dizzy wires. So I would start there....

Out of time somehow. Should of kept that dizzy. If it aint broke, dont fix it.

z6 dizzy dont bolt up to a y8 dizzy, the right way. turn your dizzy 180 and try again. if not check the wiring, i posted it up in your other thread.

If your running a obd1 ecu don't put in a obd2 dizzy in there because it won't fire correctly. So your putting it in a 93 civic just keep the z6 dizzy only 1 bolt should hold it up i beleive since its not the same head as the dizzy and make sure you put it in correctly on the right side when you put it in the head. and even though you rewire the y8 dizzy to obd1 the internals still thinks its running as obd2.

well i still have the z6 dizzy and i put it back on but the car still wont run and it wont bolt up even if i get one bolt on the dizzy it still wont be enough. i mean if there is only one bolt it will leak oil everywhere. and like i said now neither one of the dizzys will crank the car. and my IVAC is humming. i mean if i use the z6 dizzy how will i bolt it up. and why is the car not cranking at all when it started and ran just fine yesterday i didint even drive it i just let it idle

so i am being told that i wired up the obd2 dizzy wrong and it fried my ecu. they then told me to get an obd2 wiring harness and get a jumper harness to my ecu then the car should run fine. but how is the obd2 harness supposed to plug into the 0bd1 dash harness. im about to sell the mutha fuckin car im gettin tired of it. i have spent so much fuckin money i coulda bought a fucking b16 and had it in by now. shits pissin me off. is it possible for my obd2 motor and harness to plug into my dash harness and ecu

obd2 harness wont work. try out a different ecu with the z6 dizzy works.

wrong. It doesn't matter.
a z6 dizzy won't fit a y8 head correctly. and the problem is probably your wiring. there is a diagram for colors here...

You could also have kept your harness obd1 and used a d15b7 distributor, it bolts up correctly to a y8 head, but the z6 one doesn't.
