im doing this for a friend and i was wanting to know if anyone has done this yet and if is there any hints or tips that can make the job done faster....im going to be using 2 jacks....and this is for the rear motor mount that is mostly used in B and d-series only difference is the bracket u use.

1. should i just take out the 1 bolt holding the mount to the rear bracket and just jack the motor up until i got enough clearence to slide the inserts in

2. take out the 1 bolt holding the mount to the rear bracket and plus take out the 3 bolts holding the actual mount to the subframe, pretty much taking out the mount than re-installing the mount.

well im not a expert on motors. but number 2 sounds like the better option. i dont think you want to move the block around to much.

I personally prefer to remove the rear bracket completely and get it out of the way...

unbolt tranny torque mount.... 3 bolts. leave it off

unbolt top tranny mount,,,, leave it unbolted.

then remove the long bolt in the t bracket mount....

jack motor up so you can reach the bushing from the drivers side working under the intake manifold.....

bolt all 3 back together..... then do all drivers side....
