hey guys/ gals got aquestion installed a skunk2 pro series intake manifold on my 97 ls motor in my 92 hatch everything was reinstalled as it was taken off the OEM manifold to its propper location on the new one after everything was checked and rechecked a few tim es make sure everyhtin was correctly installed after we filled the coolant back up and made sure no fule leaked anywhere the cxar was atrted and it revved high and the came down aftrer about 5 secs then its starts to idle up for about 2 secs then idle down for 2 then back up all the vaccuum line and sensors were reconnected correctly the car has 8.5 mm wires, skunk2 cam gears. aem intake, and 4-1 header help please !!!

you have idle surge.
most likely a vacuum leak, or the IACV took a dump.

is your iacv and fiacv clean?
are you sure you have the right plug in the iacv?

Google, idol surge civic, and go from there. Tons of info on this subject and a gillion threads here as well.....

yea there is only one plug that fits the iacv on my harness it was working perfect bofore the manifold was insatlled

there is actually a couple that will fit, even more if its obd2, double check...

yep ,double check everything....make sure you bled the coolant in the car properly(no air pockets), Make sure your IACV gaskets inside are sealed/seated properly, make sure your FITV ball thingy is adjusted properly, Make sure that no passages in the throttle body are blocked by anything, yadda yadda yadda

fixed the problem it was the intake manifold gasket had a tiny vaccuum leak in it but i did take yalls advice thanks for the help
