Since this section has to do with food...something for a fatass like me, I wanted to know how many others have tried this. I grilled a sirloin for dinner last week for dinner with my parents and decided to try putting a little bit of olive oil on the steak.
I have to say it was pretty win :goodjob: Nice crust on the steak with the inside being very very juicy. My dad is never normally a sirloin steak kind of person, but he said he has to reconsider his steak selections from now on.
Anyone else try this?

it'd be easier to ask who hasn't. almost everyone i know who cooks steaks uses olive oil from time to time. so i think it's a pretty common thing.

try this, cast iron skillet cook your steak on med hi heat for 6-7 minutes perside
then remove the steak from the pan and add a 1/2 cup of brandy to the pan**watch out for flames*** when the flame dies down take a spatula and scrape the bits from the bottom of the pan mixing it up in the sauce and then add a 1/2 or 1 cup of heavy cream u can use half and half but any who add a little kosher salt and some fresh ground pepper let it simmer for a minute and BAM!!!!!!!!!!!
pour the sauce over the steak and enjoy the best steak in the freakin world!

That does sound good, sounds like ill have to use the side burner on the grill to try that one, as the stove we have is electric solid surface :( = no cast iron on it
