Well we made 231 horse power on a stock intake and stock throttle body so my dad decided to try to get a little more and ported and polished one now we just have to put it on and see if it makes a difference.

previously tuned this motor in the 230ish range. head and manifold were worked over. injectors ended up needing to be changed because we ran out of injector in the 240ish range and very lean. very impressive! car still runs a stock throttle body, full exhaust w/ resonator and muffler.

yo so with all that done to that motor you still get that good of mpg? can i get that type of milage if i had that engine in a accord? cause im under the impression that the more power you get out of an engine the less milage per gallon you'll get in return

well yo your foot decides what your gas mileage is lol with my dad its over 30 with me about 9 lol but i only drive it at the track. People tend to forget the whole reason in vtec is gas mileage . Honda made vtec so you could have good power when you needed it with great gas mileage. As long as we stay on the non vtec lobe of the cam this thing gets great gas mileage even if it was in a acccord body which is what i pulled it out of. i had this motor in a accord it was just to heavy to take to the track so we put it in this body but it has always got great gas mileage.

I also have a great tuner at main stream thats makes sure even though we want to make great power this is a dailey driver and we want our gas mileage so i think him for everything .Thinks scotty from main stream.

for the record...if anyone is looking to get headwork done i recommend h22jones father. talking to him about what he does blows my mind. can't wait to try the y7 head he worked over for me. now if i can just get off my a$$ and install the motor i've had waiting for 2yrs. probably need a larger turbo too.

im sure he can and that manifold would makemsome good power the way its set up with a little work done to it. If your not gonna run after market cams doing the manifold isnt going to benifit you that much honestly.
