Yeah no shop is going to just throw shit on someones car and say you owe me before getting it. If that DID happen, take it to court.

sounds like he is trying to pull one over on your friend. if he has the original recipt then i would dispute it.. thats a fucked up situation and i hope it works out for the best..

THANK YOU ONESLOW!!!!! exactly my fucking point. and on top of everything, he says if he wants the car do install it himself, hed have to pay said shop owner money in labor to take the parts off lol. WTF?!?!?!?!?!?

sorry but i've heard this same story many times and normally what happens you have contract for job with verbal for XYZ possibilities once the bill is ready... F*CK ACME SHOP THEY SCREWED ME ;)

Why the FUCK would you pay for a job before its finished... thats like saying "yeah heres my money. take as long as you like." stupid just stupid. and lol at all you people take them to court take them to court BS.. really that will cost you more than just working with the shop on how to pay. if you make a big enough stink about it and if it was really needed, usually they will only charge parts at cost with no added labor. geez IA is full of dumb fucks
