Has anyone ever purchased a used lens from B&H photo? I understand the rating system they use for used products; however, I was just wondering if anyone had any additional input? How accurate are their ratings, etc?

Thanks! I will try to get a hold of him. I'm just weary of buying used DSLR lenses online. They do have a pretty decent return policy though, and it is much cheaper than buying new.

How accurate are their ratings, etc?I bought my 300mm F/4.0L IS "used" from them for a $200 discount from the $1,400 MSRP. It claimed 10/10. I received a unopened factory refurbished lens in brand new condition. Not the slightest mark on the tripod ring or anywhere else and came with a full warranty. I spent the $200 I saved on a $160 camera backpack and Canon UV filter. :goodjob:

Thanks Jason! I think I'm going to order from them, and if it's not what it is claimed to be, then I will just return it. Rick dropped my camera and the lens is in all sorts of pieces, so I am desperate!

yeah i have bought from KEH and when they say something is in good condition they mean you cant tell its not new. KEH has been around for a LONG time and they are local but if they dont have what ya want then i think i would trust B&H

Thanks for all the advice! Just wanted to let you know that I did find a used lens from B&H, which I purchased. I received it this morning, and I am very pleased! 100%functional, looks new, and no problems so far! Thanks again!!
