Ok, so at the age of 31 I am going back to school and where I am going is super expensive. I have a considerable balance leftover on my financial plan even after my student loans are figured in. I don't yet qualify for HOPE as I did not attend high school in Georgia so I have to wait about a year to qualify for it. What I am looking for here is if anyone knows of places I can look to for other scholarships and grants that I might could apply for. I've looked at Scholarships.com already so I know of that one. I'd be very appreciative of anyone who could point me in some more directions. Thanks gang. :goodjob:

I'm afraid the military just isn't an option for me anymore.

just fill out a FAFSA and you'll probably be covered with Pell Grant.

http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/

average award is ~$400-4k depending on your income or your parent(s)' if you're claimed as dependent. also keep in mind you never have to pay back grants.

Federal Stafford loans are always a plus if you can get it subsidized by the govt. - meaning the govt. will pay for the interest accrued on your loan

I have HOPE, Pell Grant, and Federal Stafford loans (subsidized and unsubsidized) that gives me approximately $8k per semester.

just do your research and apply for scholarships in the aforementioned links above and I'm sure you'll find something that suits your situation

good luck to you sir
