vtec controller??!!!!

my ecu is not letting vtec engage can i use a vtec controleer to make vtec work if i wire it to the dist... and the vtec solinoid instead of the ecu is this possible need help asap

How bout just a new ecu. makes no sense in paying for a vtec controller and ghetto wiring it the dist or the vtec solinoid when u can easily replace the ecu. btw are u sure its the ecu? check the oil pressure? could the vtec solinoid be bad? can it be cloged oil filter in the soilnoid?

i really dont know what the problem is if you wire vtec to a push button hit it at 5 grand and what do you know you have vtec i put my ecu in a buddys car and everything worked fine this is the reason i was gonna run the controller i need help on this fast right now the car is at a shop and they cant figure it out they want me to buy all these parts that i think i dont need they redone my harness i had but want me to buy another one they said it could also be my chassis harness all i want to know is can i make vtec work with a controller im tryin to get the car done for import showdown sunday

if VTEC wont work with a proper ECU, then a VAFC wnt help, its a band aid. what CEL is it throwing. only certain things can cause a car not to hit VTEC

if you have no CEL, then its a solenoid or oil pressuer problem.

check to see if you are getting power to your solenoid. then clean the screen on it, then make sure all wires and hooked up and grounded correctly, and make sure you have oil.

there is something seriously wrong with that car

they are giving you good advice....but honestly, if you want it fixed, try and make an appointment with Main Stream performance
