While most of you were happily keeping frosty cool indoors blasting your A/C, drinking beer and downloading hardcore porn this weekend (which is what I would have rather been doing) I was forced to upgrade my cooling system to something that can withstand the ever rising temperatures in our wonderful city of atlanta, but felt like I was installing a radiator in HADES while being slapped on the back and face with hot torches!
So here are the items I purchased for this install
KOYO performance radiator for a 1995 Honda prelude

2 mishimoto 12" race fans

mishimoto fan mounting kits

Mishimoto fan switch and KOYO 1.3 BAR radiator cap (it is not included with the radiator you have to purchase it separately)

OEM HONDA thermostat (not shown) a little known FACT is that the thermostat for a H22A1 is smaller and WILL NOT FIT a J-SPEC H22A. this was learned the hard way. an H22A j-spec thermostat was special ordered from the dealership for this installation.
now here is our workspace (complete unapologetic car whoring below)

my final review of this install and the products (and honestly im being objective) is TOP NOTCH! the fitment of the KOYO is great as it slips right in to the OEM mounting brackets underneath BUT the KOYO is a fat whore! in my prelude the KOYO is so wide that the OEM fans actually mash up against the front engine mount and crossmember (which I knew was going to happen because it happened to my friend with the yellow prelude above) which is why I purchased the slim fans. and such a fat whore it took 2 bottles of coolant to fill that slut up! and still topped a little bit of it with water.
the mishimoto fans are awesome too, although they came with no instructions on how to mount them the "zip tie" system that they sell works out very well once we figured out how they work. they flush mount directly against the radiator and they blow like a friggin typhoon!
So there ya go IA...if you dont have one yet GO GET YOU ONE and stay cool in the fiery pits of hades.
