I knew just a little bit about Mark in his Subaru days but i really know about him from his British Ford days. He won the British championship in the RS200.

About LMPs of today.

Epsilon Euskadi who is desperate to earn an F1 entry (ANDS SHOULD after watching Ken Anderson's interview about USGP :rolleyes: )

Anyways, at the 08 Le Mans, they brought out the Euskadi ee1. They were to comeback in 09 but dropped the entry. Im guessing because the effort was toward an F1 team since they didn't stop development even though they did not earn a slot. (They might still be working on it now)

The ACO and FIA are still perfecting the rules for next year. So far, it seems there will be 1 Prototype class and 1 GT class but that is still to be decided. There is also word of a possible world championship for sports cars but again, rumors.

No...that would be Malaysia's Kuala Lumpur circuit and sadly, that picture is not real. :(

If it were, it would belong to TEAM NISHIZAWA MOLA who currently run a Fairlady Z in GT300. They used the "Houzan" livery before 2009.

So mid to late 90's Toyota prototype. This could be a couple but the majority were late 80's to early 90's. The TTE TS020 came up in 1998.

In 1994, the final evolution of the Tom's/DOME machines raced at Le Mans which was the Toyota 94C-V ran under SARD.

Besides that, you have the other Toyotas starting from the 1985 Dome 85C and TOM'S 85C all the way to the 1994 94C-V

The Eagle AAR HF89, HF90, and GTP dominant Mark III.

Last, you have the greatest car Toyota ever did. The Tony Southgate designed TS010 which Andy Wallace still says is the best car he's ever raced. It was done in partnership with Tom's.

That is every prototype having to do with Toyota from 1985 till 1999.

Looks to be a Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 LM so yeah. It would be. I did look into it and apparently, the 1932 Spa 24 was the first time the badge was used.

I was worried about this. In the early 90's, Alfa Romeo made many different versions of the 155 for touring car racing that it is really hard to distinguish all of them.

No biggie. I just wanted to label them out for myself since it is so hard to find info on the CIVT series in which the 155 GTA competed.

The Nissan gets a definite 10 as it was the best gas powered (and therefore best sounding) vehicle of the 2009 Dakar.

Fiat Brasil designed it for the Rally dos Sertoes (Dakar type race across Brazil). It's always in July so a lot of the Dakar teams race in it for testing purposes. I guess I should have typed what it was.

It usaes a 5 cylinder Audi drivetrain.. The Dahlback company have had it dyno'd at 850hp at 8500RPM before the Dyno read error codes. The cars redline is 11000RPM and pulls harder as the RPM rise. They clain it should have 1200AWHP. There is a great article that tells a lot about the car and the amazing setup it is running... The Dahlback Golf gets a 15 out of 10 in my book. You need to check it out on youtube and read up on it if you havent seen it before here to understand why this car quite possibly be one of the nicest race cars ever built.

Colin McRae made his own rally car. The R4. There is also a raid and raly cross vehicle.

Great originality on the Tatra. I forget what championship it was a part of off the top of my head.

Get the early 1990's Dakar and Pharoh's stuff. That is when they still allowed prototypes like today.It's weird since after 1997, they were banned but returned around 2006. Oh get the Camel Trophy stuff too.

To answer your earlier question, the Escort comes from the German DRM championship which ran from 1975-1985. This particular Escort ran when the FIA Group 5 cars raced the FIA Group 6 cars.

Not shorter but wider. Broadspeed was a tuning company and modded the Jag to have wider fenders to fit those tires. The car itelf was just an XJ12C which i can't recall seeing in America but it isn't ultra rare.

Ford did make the Cortina. But, Ford did also goto Colin Chapman to help develop a racy version of it. This was to be the Lotus Cortina. Similar to the Lotus Carlton of the 90's.

Another big part of the Lotus Cortina was the coventry climax motor that was developed by DFV Cosworth creator Keith Duckworth.

MKIII are too ugly.

It's a 1903 Napier...I think it was the first car to use "British Racing Green" officially.

Here's another one. The Napier-Railton built in 1933 holds the all-time record at Brooklands. It has a 23 liter W-12. Yes, that's a W-12 in 1933! The engine came from an airplane. It had 500 bhp at 2200 RPM, a 3-speed gearbox, and rear-wheel-only brakes. This could hit a top speed of 168 mph and achieved 5 mpg...and look at it! Gorgeous in my opinion.
