I'm replacing a bad radiator as well as all the hoses and thermostat.

The service manual recommends to drain the coolant not only from the radiator but from the block as well.

Is this necessary? if so based on the diagram the bolt is located on the left side of the header...looks like its behind the heat shield...

how would i route the fluid out from the hole if i have to drain the block

Too drain the block , their is a BIG hex key on the front of block, loosen that and all the coolant will come out!!

lol yea that is what i plain on doing..

i bought a bottle of the prestone radiator flush that you mix with water to flush out the system..then do it again with just water

after all that then pour in Honda Coolant

i dont drain it unless it had a blown head gasket and the oil and coolant mixed.
