I can say i have done a couple of things that not too many other people have done or prob will ever do again.
A) I have WALKED in the International Space Station
B) I have TOUCHED the outside of the International Space Station
C) I have also been INSIDE of an actually space shuttle
I just remembered this today as I was talking to my dad about how I missed the shuttle going over Atlanta last night. I did all this at space camp in Alabama back when I was in middle school.
not everyone would find this entertaining or interesting but for the few that do thanks for looking

lol here comes the ass hole out of the group. i was jsut wondering what it was, it was huge because most things just burn out in a few seconds after hitting the atmosphere. this thing stayed burning until i couldn't see it no more so i dunno....

why?
did they have a 'political' officer too (like the russians)?
for the uninformed...political officer was the member of the communist party that was assigned to various branches of military to preach communist doctrine and report directly to the politburo...

well I wouldn't be surprised but right now they are talking about a caulking gun that is on the ISS and it reminded me of it.

it dates back to when they went up in capsule and didnt have a way to control where they landed. One time they were stuck in the capsule with a bunch of wild animals around them and it was too dangerous for them to go outside. ever since then they have had them for protection reasons.

I have always wanted to be able to tour behind the scenes and walk up and just put my hand on one of the orbiters. I have been a die hard Space Shuttle program fan since I was a kid.

you should just see if you can take a trip down one weekend and see if you can take a real in depth tour, and i too have always loved the space program. hopefully one day i'll be employed by them :goodjob:

They dont have tours that take you in to see the actual shuttles in the processing bays, that is something Id kill to do. Leisa once called up there to see if they had anything like that because she knew how bad I just wanted to walk up to one and just look at it.
