yup, 10 minutues up I-75, 15 bucks all you can race, i went 21 times and i sat out for 30 minutes too. No rules, as long as your car runs, has good condition tires, your good to go, oh yea. . .and sign the waiver, there is never any more than 25-50 cars

What boost is it putting out?
What was your 60' time?
What gas were you running? (all gas is bad now btw...)
Not a BAD time, but something seems a little off. Not to dis on you, but maybe we find it and knock off 2 or 3 tenths. I have ran one OEM to a 15.6... so chipped even w/ audio should walk it I'd think. 200 extra pounds versus a chip adding minimum 20 WHP and 40 WTQ is over come easily.

i pretty much got the same set up, but ko3s and GHL cai intake and 2.5" magnaflow exhaust and ran a 14.7 with my gurl in the car and she doesnt way much like 120

1) i dont know
2) 2.418
3) 93 bought in august
I found it really hard to get good traction, all i was doing was spinning my tires. I had to slowly ease into the gas, if i popped the clutch i literally just sat there spinnin and spinnin and spinnin, lol.
Once i get bigger radius tires and wider tires it will be easier for traction. I was using older tires, and i did not burn them before i launched, and i kept driving through water to get to the trap. All those factors will definitely hurt the launch, and thats the only place where i had problems.
I even managed to beat an IS 300 which is something to me. Also this was my first time at the track. My exhaust is GReddy, which apparently to EPG's knowledge caused an overall decrease in power, and i only had a chrome Injen intake. The only thing helping me really is the chip and a little of the intake.
I dynoed at 187/217 btw.
Any comments, apparently this is slow as balls i guess
Oh yea. . .and this is slowly turning into a show car, not really for track, i just went because in Valdosta there is nothing else better to do

Forget brands for now...A chipped 1.8T is a 14 sec car. Mine w/ a chip on 100 oct did 14.195 @ 100.16. No other mods. The worst it ever did was a 14.7 w/ someone else driving it, and they missed 3rd gear. (I know it was spiking to 24 psi, holding around 18-19). Treys 337 chipped on 93 octane did a 14.2.
I'd try these few tips;
-Try to AVOID at all cost the burn out box on street radials.
-Dont spin street tires hard prior to running...street tires can get greasy w/ heat if they are cheap...also our clutches need rest, not additional abuse.
-Keep the car off as long as possible.
-When you crank it turn on the A/C to spin the additional fan...then turn it off when you turn off tract control (which ever type it is...OFF)at the burn out box.
-Dont drop the clutch to launch. Slip it as you increase throttle. This is a proven better launch idea on a drive by wire car where the throttle is never in the same place twice.
-Remember spinning is better than bogging, but less is best.
-run once or twice, and let the car rest. 8 runs in a day is pushing a turbo car (heat is the enemy obv) 20-25 times would explain some of the results IMO.
Try to shoot for a 2.2 60' next trip, because a 1/10 in the 60 shows 2/10 in the 1/4 generally.
Good luck;
GC

Well, that 14.1 was with 100 octane, mine was with 93, which is a big difference. A 337 has a ko3s i think? which if it has has a little advantage over me.
The 15.4 was about my 17-18th run, my first run was 15.7 and i hopped all throughout first, so you can see how the heat is killing it. Then again, this is NOT a drag car, i did it for fun.
Also my car is 70,000+ on all the OEM engine components, doesnt the turbos usually give out around this time? I hope so, so i can get a new one, or a ko3s or bigger
Also, would a N75J help me at all? Im not feeling any surging problems, but wouldnt that help me maintain higher boost? isnt that the point of it?

Theres a 2 1/2" DP at Assist Racing he'll take $100 for, ask for Scott.
BTW, 100 oct. gas adds 3.5 lbs of boost making about 30-35 more WHP... that doesnt change it 1.5 seconds.
I did run a 14.3 @ 97.xxx on 93oct at commerce in may (With stereo on 20"s) w/ only 15 lbs of boost (small cut in a vacuum line was holding it back) If it been at 19-20 like normal, I'd like to think a 13.9 would have been in reach on pump gas and full show gear.

Its in Stn Mtn off of Hugh Howell near USA auto sales (stn mtn freeway) He had it sittin at the shop a month ago or more, 2 1/2" it appears to be an APR, but not sure. He said $100 would take it from him. Scott only had the one DP, so game on to get it!
I'll post the # when I dig it up...
