I'm all for West Coast rap songs just like you, but you can't really say these flows aren't pretty dope. Unless you completely have no clue about what he's rappin' about - then I'd understand why you think this song sucks.

Is that your "subtle" way of telling me that, because I don't like the song, that I don't know anything about hip hop? I don't like Canibus. I never have. It has nothing to do with West Coast music. Later, QD.

You favor West Coast over anything. You've always have and always will - I for some reason already knew you would post 'That song sucks' before you even posted it. Haha, It's not about the rapper in this case, this song is deep. A lot deeper than anything a lot of West Coasters have rapped about.

His lyrics are insane in this song. And to think, this song is 10 years old.

You're right, but I reiterate, this has nothing to do with what coast it came from. Pre-1993, you'd find me listening to rap from all over. West and East.

I can't, and won't, sway your OPINION. Later, QD.

So back in the early '90 you were listening to B.I.G, Wu Tang, Mobb Deep, and others that were in the same level of style? Cool. But I was just sayin' that your orgins had a strong impact on your taste in music, which is why I brought up the WC. My opinion about this song and others will stand. I personally like songs from Eazy, Ice cube, Mach 10, and so on - but this song is some serious sh*t.

Can't stand BIG. Nor Wu. Nor Mobb. These were the reasons I kept my older shiit. That's why I said PRE-1993. These guys came out in 94, 93 and 95, respectively. And my origins didn't have an impact in my music in the beginning because the West didn't have a rap scene back in the beginning days of hip hop. I was all about NY rappers until the mid 80s when the West Coast started popping up.
But I don't want to continue to detract from your thread. So I can drop this "debate." Back to your thread, dude. Lolol. Later, QD.

you know what's ironic...canibus is a muslim. remember when we had the religion discussion, and i made references to the QURAN being the "original bible"? the Quran has a LOT of information in it, that we would consider "ahead of its time." that's something to think about....

I doubt 'religion' had something to do with this song being made. Haha, but I understand what you're saying. It is something one should marinate on. What's got me stunned is the fact that this dude is rappin' about sh*t that wasn't going to happen til a few years later.
What?
So he talks about a conspiracy theory. I was expecting some ridiculous predictions about what happened in the last ten years. Instead I picked up that Jupiter should have been a star almost 9 years ago. What's so amazing about that? Why do I have to remember (as the video told me) that the "banned" verse of this song was in 1998? What am I missing? Did he just predict a ridiculous conspiracy theory?
Edit: Meh, I see now about the whole Galileo crashing into Jupiter thing (so yeah, kind of impressive). It's still not a sun though. And I mean, they intentionally crashed it and admitted it. When exactly they decided to crash it I can't find, I just know it happened in 2003.

I think about the whole Jupitar becoming a star was just an experiment. Just like this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbpqxUYyRfs It didn't turn to a star because it's just not possible to make a star by igniting a fission bomb inside the planet. I don't know the real reason or purpose to this song, just thought it was a very interesting song because it does hit some pretty interesting points in it's words that have taken place.

You're not trying to say that Canibus thought all this shiit up himself and put it to song are you? He's only rapping about what he's read an heard. He's hardly a Nostradamus. Later, QD.

Of course not. But creating something like that is pretty impressive no matter which way anyone looks at it.
