whats up folks, joining in on the import sensation. ive got a 71 super beetle. been trying to get my sig pic up but for some reason it wont take it. ive posted the img code from photobucket and it works fine on other forums but wont show up anything over here. any tricks i should know?

[edit] well ill be damned if it isnt showing up now, any way to get more than 100 characters space for mods in the sig space?

lets see where to start. im gonna list everything ive done, not necessarily mods.

the engine is rebuilt and has less than 5k miles on it since rebuild. its a 1600cc dual port, scat c35 camshaft, scat rocker shaft assembly, rebuilt 34pict-3 carb, and all new plug wires, cap, rotor, plugs, k&n air filter, ect.

i went completely through the brake system last week. new lines, pads, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, and new fluid. i put the bigger wheel cylinders on it so it will stop on a dime. its been lowered roughly 6-7 inches in the front, and about 5 in the rear. 7/8" sway bar up front, new shocks on all four corners and new springs up front. 240sx seats, scat short throw shifter, grant steering wheel, 4 point roll bar. its got all new chrome trim on the outside and karmen ghia wheels. 165r15 out back and 135r15 up front.

it feels fairly slow for the moment to me, but im coming from a background of modded mustangs so it may just be me. im probably gonna jug it to a 1641 before the end of the year. ive got a spare engine that ill throw on the stand and start building a 2176 stroker for it. i took it to the mountains last weekend and i was running down knee draggers all morning, so it handles great in the twisties, just not a 1/4 mile car. its got just about every peice of engine chrome money can buy. :)

thanks for the warm welcome. i will certainly admit, its alot more of a headturner than i expected. i have head people honk at me going down the interstate and give me a thumbs up. certainly never got that with the mustang :D
