Well alot of factors going to determine the weight, like the year it was made and the model. 88 EFs are the lightest of the bunch and a STD would be the lightest of all the models. Then CRXs are lighter than hatches (I believe). I haven't weighed my car but it should be pretty pretty light (maybe around an 88 DX weight range 1900lbs) due to not having much of a bumper support and removing stuff like A/C


I know you asked for hatch weights, but here are stock CRX weights. I'll do some research and post hatch weights in a min.

DX:
manual: 2262lbs
automatic: 2315lbs

4WD
manual: 2515lbs
automatic: 2562lbs

These weights do not include air conditioning. My car is equiped with AC, add 49lbs to the above weight. I suspect that 88-89 years are slightly lighter like the rest of the Civic line...

that still pretty light, my 240 hit the scales weighing 2850 w/ me in it.
(i'm around 200lbs)

the miata with us weighed around 2600 w/ a 180lbs driver.
and the 4th gen prelude was around 2800 w/ driver.

so 2300 or so with me in my hatch is pretty light by my standards.

They become extremely light once you start removing acc off of it. I believe Halfwit got his 1st 88 si in the sub 1800lbs range.

Thats full interior, No A/C, no radio, no spares, race wheel, lightweight battery, SHORT exhaust, race seats, lightweight wheels and shaved tires
