Do you have a come-along and 2 chains? This is gonna sound really ghetto, but this is how we changed the engine in my truck. If you have this you can hook the come along to a big tree limb and chain the motor to the come-along and pull out/ put in a motor fine. But be sure its done very sturdy and cautiously. Its probably not too smart to do but its just a thought. GL with findin somethin though.

Do not do that! All you need is a chain and a come-along. Find two trees that are close together(Just enough that you can get the car between them), then tie the chain around both trees(doesn't matter if there are limbs or not), hook the come-along to the chain and motor and pull it out! The weight of the motor will keep the chain from sliding down. Me and a buddy have done this several times with no problems. If it can hold a 301 boat anchor, then it should work for you. Now getting it out the truck, just back the truck under the chain and hook the come-along and move the truck then push the car between the trees and your set!

^ thats for when you need to do the swap, if you don't have a cherry-picker! If its a 4-cylinder then you and a couple of buddies should be able two man-handle it out the truck!
