okay.. heres the deal... its an 00 civic. the car didnt have all the a/c parts under the hood like the condensor, the small harness right around there and a compressor, so i pieced it together. i've try'd chargin it with the self charge kits.. and the pressure gauge on the hose goes up and up but the compressor never kicks on.. i've try'd jumpin the pressure switch to force the compressor on and that didnt work either.. i've checked any a/c related fuses, the relay in the fuse box under the hood and i've about given up...if some one can offer some advice or recommend a reasonable a/c person on the westside of ATL, pm me..
****please be aware of the rules under the "solicitation of labor" thread above. i dont want anyone to get banned.
thanks

when you pieced together this a/c .. had the guy you bought the compressor from tell you that both lines for the compressor been sealed ? .. sounds to me like a bad compressor and for one that has sat in someones garage for a while unprotected will not work .

You did vacuum the system first right? You can't charge a system without vacuuming it first. Also you could have water in your system.

if you didn't vacuum the system before rechargin then I'm afraid your compressor may have burned up..check that out as well.
