I'll be with Chin at Road A. on the second but I might sign up with some buddies. How are ya'll getting 10 cars on at a time for only $175? How many cars do you plan on attending? With 15 cars running groups of 3 its difficult to get that many run groups in and open track is a must.

I love this track and going back for such a bargain but I honestly burn up more pad and front right tire here than Road A or Barber.

Thanks for the interest. We will have a max of 40 cars signed up. Right now it looks like we will have more in the 20-30 range. We have 15 signed up as of today. With 30 cars we would have 7-8 cars out at a time for 15-20 minutes per session.

Track is cheaper due to it being on a Friday.

Hope you can join us.

Ummmm.

Are you guys goign full out with ambulance/corner workers and everything else? I have been there several times and they're rather adament about keeping the numbers of cars on track rather low. Are there going to be HPDE instructors there?

Sounds interesting, but 10 cars on the track coupled with 2 passing zones makes for a potential traffic mess.

We are paying for the entire setup (Ambulance, corner workers, tower, etc...)

I have never been on this track so do not have any sense of traffic numbers. The reality of what we are looking at is more than likely less than 30 cars.

Right now we have 15 signed up. We need 19 just to get us in the black with the meet still subsidizing the event to the tune of $1500.

We may have some instructors there who are also driving but nothing formal.

I'm going to say "tentative" for me at the moment... i love TGP and the cost is right and it's only 1.5hrs away from me...not to mention that June6th gives me time to set funds aside.

Glad to see you might come.

This is a real easy going mix of guys. Most are S2000 and NSX owners with a Porsche thrown in the mix also.

Tell your friends about it.

I will have to check my schedule first of course. :)

Registration will close on May 25. Whether it fills up by then is still to be determined :D

We also have a group rate of $99 set up at a Hampton Inn in Anniston. I can provide the rate code if anyone wants to come over Thursday night. We have a small get together and beer social planned for the night.

I'm just hesitant on this one. 7-10 cars on the track at a time and 3 passing zones.. The likelyhood of getting the suggested track time in is slim. Will there be advanced run groups? There is no way i'd go with a bunch of cars that don't understand and respect the point-by. That would be an absolute mess

Your concerns are valid. The 15 people signed up so far are previous track people. They understand passing and not holding anyone up. We will also red flag and pull people off the course if they are not driving properly.

I suggest you wait and see how many cars are signed up if you are concerned with traffic. My gut unfortunately tells me we are not going to have a good turnout....hence my posting this in other forums. This time last year we had over 70 cars signed up for our annual meet. Right now I have less than 30 for the meet and only 15 for the track. So if we are light on the track you will get a great value for $175.

Sounds ok. We will have to see. I have no doubt that you'll fill up it's the other drivers and the amount of track time i'm worried about. With 40 cars is hard to get that amount of good track time, unless your running with drivers who are driving your times or better and really know how to let people pass as I said.

Update on event.....The track day will be capped at 30 cars. We have also decided to extend the club pricing to everyone. That means the price will be $155 for anyone who signs up. Please PM me and I can provide you with a discount code.

We have 15 signed up and have put this out to a few other boards. If you want a spot you may want to go ahead and grab it.

Thanks
