The main shop is 30x50. Behind the Black Mustang is a 85 T-Top Mustang you can see in the last picture just to give you an idea of the space it has.

Looking past the lift you can see another room and then the new addition. The room in between them is where I keep most of the equipment as in the tire machine, press, parts washers, welders, plasma cutter, drill press, etc. This is the "messy" room with all the metal shavings, etc... This room is only 18x30 and was built strictly for the machinery to help keep the main shop a lil cleaner (didn't work).

The new addition is only 30x40 and will be used mainly for storage and paint booth. The booth will be the farthest door from the shop and completely sealed off. We have caulked the entire addition, painted the floor and will be painting the walls next week.

Since your interested... The metal framed building was a gift from the wife with the lift and various other tools so I didn't have to lay on the concrete floor working on her cars anymore. :) No she doesn't have a sister.

The metal shop was 35k insulated and 8 inches of concrete for the slab (which was a majority of the cost). The addition that I just added which is wood framed was roughly 5-6k doing it all ourselves so far except for the concrete.

Here are a few shots of it where it is now. Yes I know it is bright purple but the kid's love it and that's all that matters! ;) The purple actually made it look 1/2 the size.

Chris,
Gotta be proud of that...a lot of hard work there, I know...

You'll have to come by our place, once we get out engine side put together... or come run on the dyno any time.

We have got a lot of equipment to move in the next couple weeks but it will eventually get there. I will mainly specialize in heads and carbs with the Serdi Head machine and Valve grinders, follow-up with Superflow bench.

We have other machines for balancing and block work but most folks are not willing to pay for high quality work so we will probably be doing existing customer work and almost anyhing for our own projects including, balancing, sleeves, boring, honing, surfacing etc.

I see you have a Dodge sitting around, need any Dodge Cup engine parts etc.

Got 850hp and 9500rpm ??? It is all Evernham and Penske stuff, I am a cherry picker as each of the engine shops has their good parts. I can usually assemble an ARCA engine capable of 850-870hp and they are as much as 20-30 better than the Cup teams ARCA engines.

Mark

Are you going to be doing any porting of heads by any chance? I always have someone asking for someone that is local to work heads and port them.

What is your addy? Someone told me that you were only 15-20 minutes from us.

Honestly it was our own issue but the VP guy acted like a freaking prick so we came home and cooked some more dogs!

Your crowd is exactly what we expect when we pit beside someone at the track. Couldn't of asked for better people and we really enjoyed meting everyone of you.

Thanks again for the use of the grill and dogs, that was a blast.

Oh yeah we destroyed the shop today painting the walls, putting up the ceiling fans, running wire and air outlets and whatever else to make it a disaster. Figured I would through up a few shot of it in it's worse stages just for fun.

I will update again Friday at the latest and see what it looks like by then. I won't have time to do anything on it until Friday am so it will sit in it's current stage until then.

Enjoy...

Probably going to end up doing a "drop curtain" as soon as we get the filters and fans installed. Which of course will be shortly after we get power ran in the shop.
