buy a vacuum leak checker......they are like a thousand bucks. But they work. :goodjob: Or buy a fog machine for a few dollars.

Hmm....it does sound like it. High idle and the car sputters to it's death correct? LoL

Maybe a problem with the IACV??

I might take a look at it for you. Not sure if I can be a real help since I've got a Nissan, but it happened to me when re-installing the upper intake manifold. Forgot to clamp down a hose.

So I would say check all hoses, and let us know if there was anything that you did to the engine prior to the high idle.

Take a can of carb cleaner and spray around the intake and all vacuum hoses. The engine will rev up if it sniffs the carb cleaner. Then you'll know what area to look for a vacuum leak.

agreed, also brake cleaner works well too. any cleaner thats flammable will work. revs higher and thats where your vac leak is
