I have a pal whom lives down where i reside.
thats Augusta and we are currently trying to finish his race/weekend street car.
He says until complete he wants to keep it pretty much unknown.
but what i can tell you of the car is that its a '89 hf chassis, swapped and pretty much going to be about as street legal a drag car can be.it is a 12-sec car for sure,no doubts about that.we have painted the engine bay and dropped his engine in.but still have to paint the interior and exterior of the shell.needs a few misc here and there but should be done by the end of April.

the question to you guys is,i am currently a member and have been since last summer.but he is somewhat interested in joining,i mentioned he can come on here and exploit his car and discuss with other enthusiast etc .. etc ..
he wants on the list if its cool and as soon as those new decals are set we will def have to get some.
his name on here is: b17a1db2

thanks,:goodjob:

by the way it's his first ef and he is taking it to a new level hahahhaa, car already looks amazing and it's not even 50% completed.here is a picture of the engine in his previous car.only pic im allowed to show for now  took about 2 months ago.it's his old del sol,but now its going into a better car :ninja:
for now i guess just use your imagination and i'll get him to post up asap !

Wow.

A street legal 12 second drag car...

Sounds pretty sick...

yea it will be sick, back in the del sol it was a high 13 sec car on street tires.has minimal mods just good suspension set-up and good driver.but alot of work is going into his crx, thought it would be done by the March 29-30th event but that clearly wont happen hahahhaha we've had other things come into the picture and some items took longer to come in.

all in all it's fun and hopefully soon we can have it going.:goodjob:
maybe he will allow me to snap a few shots of the engine bay.

12 sec with barely any mods is good.it's just all about power-2-weight ratio's and if the driver knows how to drive, plus we make sure suspension is done right.
we enjoy racing and just cannot wait for this project to hit the track.

I don't mean to hate, but I'm not impressed by this talk of "new levels" and twelves.

sorry but this engine is n/a maybe with a turbo 12's are nothing.but we have no power adders and bolt ons.12's with a n/a near stock 1.8L is actually very good.

I'd think that in a gutted hf with just maybe 170whp he could hit 12's all day long on slicks.

exactly minus the gutted part.the rear interior wouldnt make a difference in or out.but theres my point.basically stock 1.8L in a hf 12's.but the thing was i wasn't reffering to the 12 second car being the new ground breaker i was actually talking about us compeltely stripping his car 100% and repainting it ourselfs and doing everything between us.no big shop doing our work.
alot of people paint their cars with cans or either pay some place to do paint job.he does paint extremely well so he took over on that part.we ordered very quality parts not **** and did all the work.not trying to get a pat on my back but i thought the "efsquad" was about sharing, unity and talking with other enthusiast not hate on everyone because they make a thread to share their work. ?

just doesnt make sense.one thread says to share this or that so i do and everyone like on every forum decides to bash.figured since we are enthusiast everyone would like to hear the progress but then it seems everyone just wants to talk down on people doing their own work ?

I'm not hating, like I tried to say. I respect a fast all motor car. My comment was spurred by claiming it will be on a new level, I find that pretentious. I guess I've just been around Hondas too long and seen too much, I don't see much "new" these days.

thats understandable .. i wasn't saying breaking new grounds as far as 12's just doing all this work ourselves and being proud of it since alot of people pay others to do most work.we do everything from the ground up we tune we do 99.9% of our own work.most times the other .1% comes from a friend helping us out so we can teach him things as we go along.
