Boost problems

For some reason when I launch and hit second gear the boost bogs down and my car turns off.


Any idea?

do you have a missing link or check valves in line with the map sensor?... or are you running a chipped ecu? also, do you have an air fuel ratio gauge? and if so are you running red (lean) as this is happening, or when boost is over about 5psi?

iam having the same problem runnin chipped ecu whats the deal? and its tuned

Take your spark plugs out give them a good clean, then go out and go all the way to red line and pull your plugs and then see if they are white or black.

mine was doing the same thing b18b at 5.5 on chiped ecu never could figure it out

same thing here if i push it to hard in 1st and 2nd. but im way rich with no tune at the moment

maybe you need to re gap your plugs, b/c it might be spark blowout, regap them to a smaller gap.

Ive had a similar thing happen before, it is more of a fuel / air problem than spark, although making the gap a little smaller will help a little but if it is as bad as you describe then it likely won't help to much.

Do you have an afc or anything like that.

Also i know someone else asked it, but did you have your ecu flashed?
