BBS RC009 - 8JX17 ET:10
BBS RC010 - 9JX17 ET:19

A $6,000+ USD (8,000 Deutsche Marks) factory option in the middle 90's from a Euro 850ci.

Probably replacing the 265/40-17 & 235/45-17 with 275/40-17 & 245/45-17's to help with traction and protect the wheel a little more...

The car will consist of at least 8 or 9 or more different models of BMW's, lolol....from an e21 brake booster, to an e34 oil pan and intake manifold, e36 M3 front suspension, 318ti rear suspension, 328i engine, e30 chassis, e31 wheels, e30 m3 body parts, etc. etc.

Wow, awesome. It's stuff like this that makes me remember not to lose faith in the car world.

Good luck, and duly repped.

Dont polish them up or paint them. They would be hard to clean anyway. Leave the factory finish so you can spray it with degreaser and not worry about the paint.

Leave the factory finish so you can spray it with degreaser and not worry about the paint. That's what i'm thinking, you rarely see polished lips on the track anyways and machined lips have been the look of vintage sportscars for years :goodjob:

They have a clear coat on them from BBS so they are cared for just like paint anyways: as long as they're waxed no need for a degreaser...just a mild soap or cleaner wax.

You're always on top of the game; doing things right from the beginning. Secks wheels and im sure the car will be secksy when youre done

Can't wait to see the outcome of this "E30 M3" hatch, sounds like a really cool project.

Here's a test fit on the only e30 I had available with a 5-lug conversion, I want to try them on an e30 M3 to see how they fit/look with flared fenders & M3 sideskirts and bumpers...the outside of the wheel should be flush! If not, since I'm welding on e30 M3 flares I can make them a little wider or I can machine the back of the wheel if I have to change the offset to bring them in some...

I know it needs lower profile tires but who makes a 275/30-17?! I don't want to go down to a 245 or 255, the car will need all the traction it can get! We'll have to see how it handles with that much staggering anyways, traction in the rear isn't going to help if the car is just going to plow through the turns.

If I ran a 245/35-17 to stretch the tire some the fitment would look identical to Vlad's Warsteiner DTM replica...
