So I've been looking into getting my first bike. I want a sport bike but I don't want something too powerful but something still respectable among other riders. Several of people have suggested a Hyosung 650GTR..they aren't that expensive and fairly stylish. I've always been a fan of CBR's, GSXR's, R6's etc. But I don't want something I can't handle as my first bike...what do ya'll think?

yea its a pretty good bike. but personally i would look at a SV650 rather. its a much more developed bike. the SV has way more stuff out there for it also.

I would get a used SV650 instead also.

I rode with a guy who has that bike, broke down on him twice that day. Also, you have to think about replacement parts which aren't readily available.

yeah I discussed that with several of my buddies who all ride(gsxr600, gsxr750, R1, R6, zx600). I rode the zx600, the R6 and the gsxr600...and REALLY liked the R6. I figure I'm going to take a few coarses and find something either a GSXR600 or a R6 that I can learn on. I know the day I get comfortable is the day I when I really need to worry. Respect the bike, and it'll respect you. I've ridden in the past just never owned my own..thanks for ya'lls input!
