My $50 wheel restore!

i bought these off craigslist for $50 , 15" fitipaldi's FTW! they were pretty rough when i got em , here is my progress so far:goodjob:

i am gonna work on polishing the ish out of them and then paint the center and spokes bronze , these will be goin on the car in my sig! :ninja:

G/L lookin good so far. are you using 1000 grit with mothers aluminum/mag polish? that's what im doing. makes for a good finish. but anyways. want to see them when your done.

lol , not exactly , i'm usin two diff textured steel wool and turtles chrome polish

start with a really low grit and work your way up to 2000. I sanded down my lips with 600 800 1000 1200 1600 & 2000grit. Then I hit them with some metal polish.

Use some rubbing compound to clean up the swirl scratches, and then use some good polish.

yeah i wanted these wheels. i emailed the guy 5 hours after you got them.

i have a few sets of bottlecaps i'm refinishing

have to wait until it gets warmer out because the undercoating doesnt come off when you strip paint in cold weather.
