He is just another wack ass rapper out the south ruining hiphop...
DMX was a guest on 106 and Park yesterday.... When Jeezy's song came on the countdown... X kept on calling him Young Cheezy..

His flow doesn't really seem to "flow". Sounds too much like he's trying too hard and is stopping to think about what he's saying. Seems that way from the songs I've heard anyways.

Jeezy is a decent rapper his flow, his style and his "ad-libs" are a breath for fresh air to southern style rap. He might not be a common or a guru but the man has got skils. His albums/mixtapes may not be a mecca of lyrical content but its far better than the rest of this "crunk shit...I got J's at my door, nextel chirp, laffy taffy" bullshit that u may hear all the time. His style is more less entertaining than it is art. Listen to him and ud say Jeezy= Cam'ron of the south. My 0.02

so everybody you like must have talent?
liking or not liking an artist has nothing to do with talent...
i dont like or listen to half the rappers out right now but i wouldnt go as far as saying they have no talent...

but why would you want to listen to rappers with no talent ??
its like going to the circus and watching clowns who cant juggle..

...I mean nowadays there are a dozen rappers popping up on the scene on a regular basis... What sets a talented rapper apart from the next is creativity.. I simply think Jeezy lacks creativity... Just look at Mike Jones for example.. I dont listen to Mike Jones, he isnt lyrical, but you could say he is a creative entertainer... He brought new ideas with him...
Most of Jeezy's subject matter has been beat to death in the past... I am not trying to convince you not to listen to him..
This is just my take on Jeezy..

He is trying to put out the same "trap boy" image that has already been beaten to death.. And no its not just this song.. I got most of his shit from gangsta grills to his new cd... First I'm going to stack my flow
Then I'm going to stack some more
Close shop then I do my count
Hide the rest of the yams at my auntie house
Get fresh and jump in one of them cars
Hit the club and get one of them broads
It's a wrap on the way to the house
By 3:45 I'll be kicking her out

Patty cake patty cake microwave
These suckas make a square, damn I'm paid
I'm so cool but I'm so hot and I'm so fly and you is so not
Show me what your working with, just like that
Turn around, bend over, bring it back
Slow many Mannie Fresh bring it back
So Mannie Fresh and Snowman, it's a rap

Wrap it up in the club, ya I'm so crazy
These other rappers actors like Patrick Swayze
I try to tell them but these niggas aint hear me
Mossberg pump, i'm riding shotgun literally
Live from the projects, you know what it is
Hey Snowman can I get an adlib
Get the club crunk, cant take that from me
A drop ya, still got a lil jon money

I see you lookin, what you looking at
Catch Snowman in the kitchen with his cooking ass
I'm so clean but I'm so grimey
So dirty but yet I'm so shiney
Kiki B told me me finish my meal
Def jam 7 figures we can finish the deal
Some say I lucked up or just perfect timing
I cant lose the whole city's behind me

What did you expect man I came from nothing
Real street niggas wouldnt change for nothing
Got my nigga out the hood, it's such a wonderful feeling
Three car garage with the twelve foot ceilings
It ought to be a crime just to feel this good

NZ, your going off of his commercial song....Jeezy has lyrical songs on his cd and mistape, tha songs..hell i dont know i dun have em meorized, but he's got talent none the less or he wouldnt be signed to bad boy as a group artist and def jam as a solo artist, unless both companies made a big mistake....he's whats hot right now, he says simple shit like T.I says simple shit, so T I has no talent?

i mean if thats what you wanna say then lets take T.I's first song to go mainstream off his album
" money hoes, cars and clothes thats how all my niggas roll"

now that shit is simple as hell but trap muzik is/was a great album

jeezy is aight, hes all hype. Hes only getting this much attention because hes from atlanta. all upcoming atlanta artist have all that hype surrounding him. they got the whole city behind them and the south is running hip hop

The west coast fell off and will never get where it was. The only way the west is ever going to get aknowledged again is if you find rappers the same level as ice cube, tupac, dr dre, mc eight, korupt, too short, snoop dogg etc, all these rappers are getting old and doing there own thing, not to mention alot of them have soften up and arent as "gangster" anymore. so the west is going to have to find a whole new dream team

rap is really all about preferance, differnt strokes for differnt folks

jeezy is aight, hes all hype. Hes only getting this much attention because hes from atlanta. all upcoming atlanta artist have all that hype surrounding him. they got the whole city behind them and the south is running hip hop
Exactly. Every city gets behind their hometown boy.

The west coast fell off and will never get where it was.
Everyone knows I do nothing but represent West Coast hiphop and I agree with you. No one is doing anything right now.

The only way the west is ever going to get aknowledged again is if you find rappers the same level as ice cube, tupac, dr dre, mc eight, korupt, too short, snoop dogg etc,
Again, very true. And I honestly don't see it happening right now. There is a lot of talent, but no one is funded enough or "talented" enough for anyone to talk to them. Plus, a lot of WC rappers wanna keep it street. They don't want to get commercialized. SO they don't go looking for that market.

so the west is going to have to find a whole new dream team
It is actually happening now. It is called The New West. Got all these new guys doing it up. They just released a new track called We're All in the Same Gang Part 2. I heard some of it and it is a decent track.

rap is really all about preferance, differnt strokes for differnt folks
Another true statement. Later, QD.

the south is running hip hop
Running? NO Ruining? YES
I know what you mean though.. Rappers out the south arent stuck on the shelf like alot of the others....
But record sales dont mean shit as far as talent is concerned...
To me, the cds that these southern rappers are puttin out have no replay value...

if the south is ruining hip hop then theyve been doing it for 10+ years. Most the south shit we hear today isnt anything new, the only difference between southern rap now is there getting play on the raido,MTV, there getting more mainstream and the rap is actually getting out of atlanta and getting play other cities.

replay value? I listen to music however i feel at the time, if i feel like getting crunk i wont put in a boyz 2 men cd, if im sad and feeling down i wont put in a lil jon cd.

Whats ruining hip hop knowadays is the listeners, cause we have the biggest say on who runs shit or not, sales mean alot more then you think, sales is why alot of good rappers find work elsewhere, you have to do whatever you can do to sell to the mainstream, if not ur just another rapper on the side of the street

It may just be me, but i see alot of the newer rappers out the south as simply entertainers and nothing more...
And what I mean by replay value is..
Some of these cds that sound good now may not be something that will be worth listening to in the years to come...
But like you said "differnt strokes for differnt folks"
