His flow doesn't really seem to "flow". Sounds too much like he's trying too hard and is stopping to think about what he's saying. Seems that way from the songs I've heard anyways.

Jeezy is a decent rapper his flow, his style and his "ad-libs" are a breath for fresh air to southern style rap. He might not be a common or a guru but the man has got skils. His albums/mixtapes may not be a mecca of lyrical content but its far better than the rest of this "crunk shit...I got J's at my door, nextel chirp, laffy taffy" bullshit that u may hear all the time. His style is more less entertaining than it is art. Listen to him and ud say Jeezy= Cam'ron of the south. My 0.02

liking or not liking an artist has nothing to do with talent...
i dont like or listen to half the rappers out right now but i wouldnt go as far as saying they have no talent...

but why would you want to listen to rappers with no talent ??
its like going to the circus and watching clowns who cant juggle..

...I mean nowadays there are a dozen rappers popping up on the scene on a regular basis... What sets a talented rapper apart from the next is creativity.. I simply think Jeezy lacks creativity... Just look at Mike Jones for example.. I dont listen to Mike Jones, he isnt lyrical, but you could say he is a creative entertainer... He brought new ideas with him...
Most of Jeezy's subject matter has been beat to death in the past... I am not trying to convince you not to listen to him..
This is just my take on Jeezy..

im going to have to disagree with you on this one dawg... how is this better than the rest of this "crunk shit" out right now... He is trying to put out the same "trap boy" image that has already been beaten to death.. And no its not just this song.. I got most of his shit from gangsta grills to his new cd... I cant front though i do like his iced out snowman piece...

NZ, your going off of his commercial song....Jeezy has lyrical songs on his cd and mistape, tha songs..hell i dont know i dun have em meorized, but he's got talent none the less or he wouldnt be signed to bad boy as a group artist and def jam as a solo artist, unless both companies made a big mistake....he's whats hot right now, he says simple shit like T.I says simple shit, so T I has no talent?

i mean if thats what you wanna say then lets take T.I's first song to go mainstream off his album
" money hoes, cars and clothes thats how all my niggas roll"

now that shit is simple as hell but trap muzik is/was a great album

T.I. lyrics are far from simple... He ripped FLIP and is madd creative..
Many will argue that he is the king of the south... BTW not every rapper with a deal is talented...
It just means the record company thinks they will sell and make them money...
    In conclusion... T.I.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Jeezy

T.I. lyrics are far from simple... He ripped FLIP and is madd creative..
Many will argue that he is the king of the south... BTW not every rapper with a deal is talented...
It just means the record company thinks they will sell and make them money...
    In conclusion... T.I.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Jeezy

whoa now, i never said Jeezy was better then T.I i was making teh comparison on both of their first mainstream songs.

now yeah, T.I did rip flip....but not on that song....
so you can honestly tell me you listened to everything jeezy said on all his mixtapes and cd's to say he has absolutly no talent, he has no talent in saying catchy phrases, rap on beat or even write at an ok level?

All I will say is that at least it isn't a Lil Jon style crunk crap. I could listen to Jeezy more than I could listen to any of that hollerin shit with Ying Yang, Jon, and all them. Later, QD.

i know what you mean, i from brooklyn and i listened to rap most of my life too, im just saying Jeezy in south terms, is up where T.I is, well to me, i really dont like south music but i listen to both of them, just like i'll listen to UGK, OutKast, Scarface.....im not sayin Jeezy on there level, but he has the makings of keeping teh south on the map in regards to rap....imo, im just sayin, i wouldn't sleep on him

i'll agree with QD, teh west is very strong, its just on the areas of the US you lived in the west was represented strong enough, i've lived in Cali for a few years, i have alot of respect for rappers out there, defintly got skillz, if your a fan of hiphop/rap, i would suggest lookin online to find some mixtapes ( like qd mentioned) and take a listen...you'll like it...and before you ask NO, Game is not teh best out there...once you hear some of the real shit, you'll see he's not even close./...one word ( QD will know ) : Yukmouth
