Good luck with that chit!

Miss ya guy's!

I have a guy that just started work for me that needs a CV axle replaced in their Honda. I did one in a Plymouth Horizon about 10 years ago but I am gonna be lost on this thing. His wife hauls their 1 month and 15 month old children around in it so we gotta get it fixed soon.

Oh what a feeling, I know it all too well. :(

Its like doing a DOHC... but it wil lbe much easier having only a SOHC.

Just remeber TDC, and dont strip any bolts... retapping is a *****...

Remove the #1 spark plug from the motor and the wire of course. Have a buddy or urself and a buddy slowly crank the motor over until u feel a puff of air pushing ur hand up from the open area. (Also make sure that the distributors rotor (or button whatever u actuall call it urself) is facing the #1 contact as well.) Insert that long object u have into the port. And (with the timing cover removed) crank the nut thats on the cam until the object is at the TDC. U can check by simply moving it back and forth till... well, it goes down or up. If u need a more detailed instruction just PM me. I will let u know or call u if u want, or... get pics.

And that message is only relevant to SOHC motors like mine. So... as far as DOHC I wouldnt kno either.

4cyl accord are fairly easy, line up the timing marks on the crank/cover, the most pain in the ass is the damn balance shaft belt. and taking off everything to actually get to it.

Get a manual from the parts store. The balance shaft(s) have to be timed, or it will vibrate like a mother ******.

if you get it tdc, take the 12mm plug out the back of the motor, an stick a punch or a screw driver in it to keep the oil pump in time, for the balance shaft,
