Anyone here play Initial D Arcade Stage?

I've just gotten hooked on it... so far I have a 86 Trueno with 130,000 pts on it, a MR2 G-Limited with 240,000 pts on it, and a Buntamobile (GC8V WRX STi) that I just started with about 20,000 on it.

Anyone else here got any cars? Do you guys race? I usually race up at Startime in Alpharetta, although I might start going to Mountasia on Barrett because its closer to me. I'm up for racing anyone... just not for cars, heh. Its expensive too....I spend around $20-$40 a day when I go out. Fun as hell though, and its a mean workout.

Anyone up for a small Initial D meet at a arcade somewhere?

Did I mention I only do it once a week? Heh...

Usually with that many points I can level up 1 car to 200,000, or get 2 cars up to 120,000 or so.

BTW I heard that Mountasia over off Barrett Pkwy has $12.00 Tuesdays. So you can show up, pay $12.00, and get unlimited plays. I'm gonna try and do that this Tuesday.

mountasia is a freaking rip off. on tuesdays they just put their machines on free play, its the most ghetto ass place ever. save your money.

i went there under the impression that ud get an unlimited play card / tokens... but its not.

I know you can't purchase Initial D cards on tuesdays there, but can you still use the cards in the machines? And do they still work? That's all I care about, heh. And it can't be much more ghetto than Malibu Grand Prix, over there someone like stole the insides of 1 of the card reading machines, and I think the actual games are broken too.

As long as the machines work at mountasia I don't care...its a lot less of a drive than Startime.

On my MR2 I've cleared every area except for Tsuchi. I can't beat KT or Tak there. On my 86 I also had trouble after I got the engine upgrade, it seems like if you lose any momentum at all that motor won't produce much power.

My favorite courses are like, Irohazaka (fun as hell with all the jumps, only course I have to take in 3rd-4th gears), Happo, and Akina Snow. Heh, for my friends those are the courses they hate the most... but the MR2 I usually race with does really well on those courses.

I went out there 1 time to see a IMAX movie (300!) and I noticed the machines, but didn't catch any details about them. They stage 3 with a card reader?

BTW they have machines at Malibu Grand Prix over in Norcross.... but last time I was there the card reader didn't work and I think the steering wheel was broken on 1 of the machines. That place is so ghetto...

Yea, my ex worked at malibu...

I got my card at the Mall of Ga. and they are the stage 3 games. I usually only drop like 5 bucks on them because of how packed they get on the weekend... I think they have an Initial D club or something. It's quite annoying.

I talked with some dude at Mountasia over the phone. Apparently they're not supposed to give cards on Tuesdays because the machines would empty almost instantly. You gotta pay twice to get a card and I guess everyone would be taking bunches of cards home if they were free.

I'm not sure if that means that they turn off the card readers...or just remove all the blank cards from them.

LOL yea using the AE86 is freaking hard to get anywhere in the game...
