Well the fight thing just happens. They were going to fight if it was the first meet or a meet 5 years down the road.

For the trash, yeah try to keep it clean, but at the same time don't chew someone out for tossing a cup on the ground. A street sweeper comes and cleans it all up.

The burnouts arent necessary especially when ur only doing it b/c a big group of people ask chanting it as ur leaving. Hope this meets gets back to how it used to be. Glad I didn't come out then. I agree though. What's wrong with driving up, parking in with your group. Walking around and shooting the shit with folks? Burnouts are necessary. We all have 2-4 wheels. Our cars can do burnouts just like anyones. That's why when I see the "burnout van" pull up, I usually get my shit together to start leaving cause it's only a matter of time.

Us in Top Notch have a meeting spot that would be a nice alternative but like it's been said, not sure if I want my area to become BP or Sonic (though I've never been to BP, I assume I'm not missing much).

After seeing all the comments about yesterday, I am thinking I am going to start scouting a new meet location. Perhaps we can make it a "invite" only (using PM's and no threads).

Meh... we'll see. I might brave one more Riverside meet just to see if it's still worth it.

Do you disagree about what the Sonic meets have become and how MANY other meets get run off for the same BS? Yeah, i'm a little jaded about it because I actually used to enjoy going out and hanging out with friends/people....but getting the boot because of stupid people has long since gotten old. Maybe it's because 6,7-8 years ago (a long time for the scene around here..and by here I mean Atlanta) it wasn't like this by any means and I guess i'm expecting people to have a bit more respect like how it used to be.

I don't think the ppl who trash the place are the ppl who post here. I went there last night and about 80% of the ppl looked like they were in high school, as in 18 years old. I doubt they are even members here and prob think the meet is just a hangout spot. I think these young kids are the ones to blame for the majority of the stupidity, but I could be wrong.

Yea it's a just a car meet. Most of these aren't even gwinnett peeps that are coming up here and screwing the gwinnett scene for us. Cops are gonna be harder on every other import they pull over in gwinnett just because few idiots aren't responsible. Last thing i want is gwinnett on lockdown (speciall this side of area, which isn't as bad as lilburn & duluth). I rather take it to 30-50 cars we had, what's the fun when you go to a meet and 15 mins later everyone is kicked out.

I already have a backup location if it really is needed, no need for gated lot, but private security for the meet that will be provided by the complex.

Gwinnett Fair Grounds is zoned off for any loud automotive activities, i doubt some of these will be quite. I complaint and we are bye bye.

I don't know why but the sonic meet, even when it's just standing around talking to folks you already know, is a good time. Something about being in the same area with other folks who enjoy tinkering on cars.

Gwinnett Sonic has been goin on since 2006 not OP post date 2007. It moved from snellville after 50-60 cars started showing up, and it got busted by Snellville PD. Learning from that, Sonic meet stayed off board for almost a year, reason it was a chill meet and only had 20-30 cars max.

So since Julio wants to give all the credit to OP for Gwinnett Sonic meet, what has OP done for the meet other than not even mention it in his poll? Has he spent his time on it for last 2 years? Has he pent money hiring officers? Did he walk around telling people to park properly and telling to cut the immature crap?

Not sayin' all Scion's are slow, but a vast majority of them are. I was the typical buyer when they were introduced in the states. I wanted the light up cupholders, glowing interior, appearance packages, but not much else that makes it 'go' fast. I know that when you throw a turbo on a tC it gets balls but you put a turbo on any car and it's gonna be quick. I'd like to see someone put a turbo on the xB. I'm not sure I've ever seen that.

Sonic Management has issued a final warning on misconduct meet has brought Riverside Sonic in recent few weeks. Everyone needs to cut speeding in parking lot, revving, racing around the meet location, and stop the FIGHTS. There won't be a warning next time, Sonic will call cops and will take any action they need to provide safe environment for their customers. I am with them on this. All this keeps up, there won't be no more Gwinnett Sonic Meet.

If it stops raining I'll probably talk to everyone up there. If not then please read this and spread the word. Be on you best behavior for next few meets. We keep it up and I can probably try to get some special meal deals for us on thursday nites at Sonic :goodjob:.
