I was across the aisle when the cop came over and tried to hear what was said. I heard him say that there were reports of drinking and cars doing burnouts. So... everyone the officer walked up to should:

1) Lie to the cop
2) Risk the entire meet being shut down just like SOOOOO many others have been because OBVIOUSLY people outside of the meet noticed the drinking and called the cops. I seriously doubt anyone from the meet called the cops so it's pretty apparent that the drinking was obvious to people either driving by or working at Sonic. In my opinion, it's much better to cooperate and have just a few people leave instead of lying to the cop and having him decide that since there have already been complaints but no one will own up, that the meet should just be shut down all together.

It is private property. If they don't want the meet there, the cops can tell people to leave.

I like beer... I like beer a lot. I also drink it in bars or at my house because that's where's it's legal. It's not worth the ticket and it's the same as those idiots in trucks doing burnouts... it draws attention and something that simple could easily get a meet shut down. I would say that just being asked to leave is getting off VERY easy.

i agree...car meets have been that way and should stay that way, but Gwinnett Meet used to stay packed till about 11:30-12, and it was chirping crickets at 10:30 today. Lil cold and everyone ran home. New location will have a parking lot, get there.....hang outside, talk to peeps, do what u do, and when u can't take cold u have a place to go to other than back in your car or home. People will simply mingle inside, instead of outside.

Guys meet still will be goin on Thursday night at Sonic, but i'll request everyone to come out to Leisa's Drive in at Malibu Grand Prix from 7-10pm first and then roll out to Sonic afterward. :)
