The only thing I can think of to start is,

I was parked in at Advance Auto and a couple of kids pulled in a honda and they were checking my ride out and one of them says what type of nissan is that...
I looked up and saw they were talking to me and I told them "sorry buddy but this is a 1st gen mazda protege"... His buddy was like "see I told you, dont you see the mazda badge". He was like, "it looks like a nissan"..

I just laughed and shook my head..

I just laugh and 2 step launch his ass Light turns green I give him a car takes a while cause his tires are squeeling so badly then I pass him before we even get across the intersection. Then he proceeds to go 10mph slower than what Im doing and makes sure he stays behind me the rest of his way home.. guy probably felt like an idiot

A couple of weeks ago i went with one of my friends to test drive a roush stage 3 supercharged mustang. Afterwards, we decided to got to the ford dealership to see if they had any 03-04 cobras. A ford salesman walks up to us.
friend: "i just got done looking at a roush mustang down the street"
salesman: "did it have a turbo?"
me: :laughs: "something like that"
salesman: "did it (stutters) did it have a chip"
friend: "um, yeah"
salesman: "and suspension"
friend: "yes"
salesman: :face lights up and gets all excited: "cold air induction and everything?"
me: "pretty much" lol
salesman: "ooo wee, i'll bet it's fast"

then he went to a different ford dealership to get a pre purchase inspection on a supercharged mach1. the second they open the hood a tech is like "sounds to me like that TURBO is about to throw a bearing". how do you know that when you cant even tell it's a supercharger?

oh and last but not least. a girl i know asked someone on here how fast he'd gotten his (stock) rsx up to. he was like "i've gotten it up to 160, but then i had to slow down." also this kid never shuts up about how he's going to be a racecar driver. he runs 17s at commerce with a personal best of 16.4.:lmfao:

But my favorite thing that's ever been said about one of my cars was by a little kid.. not a ricer or anything.. I was in my red del Sol, and this kid is walking with his mom and just stops (I had pulled into a parking spot on the street). Kid looks at my car for a while, then looks at me, and says "Is that... a ferrari?" My heart kinda melted a little, and I was like "No sweetie, it's not" and he was like "That's a cool car!" Made my day.

I pulled into an Auto Zone here to buy some heet, then decided to fill up my tank outside in the parking lot. While I was doing that, one of the girls from inside walked out towards me and started to tell me how she like how I "pimped out" my ride. Of course to me, that was a insult to me. I had to explain to her that everything on the externaly of my car was completely factory.

Apparently she still did not believe me so she went inside and got her manager. Again, i had to explainto both of them that the side shirts, scoop, wing, rims, and even paint were are OEM. As I was leaving, I looked out in the parking lot, and everything made sense from that point on. On the side of the building, was parked a 3 different color Neon, with a 6' bench seat on the trunk along with a coffee can for an exhaust.

i'm like "no, just intake and exhaust"

"oh, it sounded like you had either a turbo or NOS on there. You wanna race? I just got a turbo put on, I should be running like a 13 sec 1/4 mile now"

This was my favorite. Some kid was telling me his plans for his Mustang. "I'm gonna NOS that thing up to eighty horsepower!"

At first I thought he meant "eighty additional horsepower"...but no. He was convinced that a Mustang GT made fifty horsepower.

lol holy shit, that dude came into my job (ntb) last weekend and started talking shit about how he was the best auto technician on the east coast... Telling me that porsche, BMW, and Mercedes were in a bidding war for him but instead he was going to wait until the chrysler stocks crashed to buy the company... Then saying some shit about an 80's dodge daytona he had back in the day with a carbed 4 cylinder motor that put out 280hp stock and would beat all the mustangs, camaros, firebirds, and vettes of that time.

(This is all in the process of him coming to us for a fucking oil change and tire rotation in his beat to shit 1990 Buick century.)

Then this lady comes in and asks me why her car is sputtering while he was standing there and he goes "hmmmmmm... Well that could be.... hmmmm... Let's see..." looking like he's thinking real hard. He stares at her blankly for about a minute looking like a fish out of water so I jump in and explain to the lady the different things it could be (spark plugs, fuel, etc) and he's like "you know.. that's exactly what i was going to tell her."

After he talked my ear off for about 20 damn minutes I honestly reached into my pocket and dialed our store number with my cellphone to pretend i had some shit to do and get away. He was dead last in a line of about 10 oil changes so i was like "there's no fucking way I'm going to have this guy standing at the counter trying to talk to me for the next 2 hours"... I had one of the techs throw him right up on the rack and got him the fuck out of there.

Later on the dude is leaving and I go, "look me up when you buy chrysler"... He's says, "You know what? I will because you definitely seem like you know your stuff. You could help me design some of the new line." I just smirk and roll my damn eyes as he turns his back and walks out the door.

Sometimes, she likes to make conversation and talk about cars that I'm interested in buying. Of course, I go on and on about the GTO. One time...she gave me this funny look, very much like :thinking:, and asked, "Why don't you try to get something nice...like an Aston Martin or something?"

She was dead serious too...haha, I just replied, "Well...we could mortgage our house, sure. Aston Martins are lovely cars!"

There is this guy I used to work with that has a MAJOR case of rice. While he was working with me, he drove a beat up red EF hatch that he promised had 700 horsepower. He continuously asked to race me in my 240sx (had one at the time) just because he wanted to see if his car had a chance. I told him that if his car really had 700 hp that he would be gone before I could get out of second gear. He told me that that wasn't possible because 240sx's came with 850hp stock. Later on he asked me if I wanted to buy a SR24DET engine from him to swap into my car. After the store finally fired him, he bought a late 90s Civic. He wrapped a bunch of the parts on the car in carbon fiber. Well I thought this was hilarious so I asked him why he was doing this. Guess what his response was?

i was suprised too but they did alot of stuff to it suspension tranny and so on.in reality if i boosted the little sohc i could hit 180whp but would not run 12 even on slicks i would need his old tranny or a built one with lsd and slicks and the right suspension. but i will get it back in the 11's thats for sure.

I pulled up to a gas station after a particularly bad overheating session, coolant leaking everywhere, a few pops on the way in, and get the hood open to a barrage of smoke.

Dude leans out the window of a relatively clean E36 325i and says "Check those welds on the intake manifold" laughing like I've never heard someone quote F&F, tries to do a burnout, and sideswiped a pole.

I walked over to make sure he was ok, then looked at him and said "That's what you get for granny shifting, not double clutching like you should have."

If I was a guy he woulda beat the **** outta me.

Thinking that they knew what it was, i expected them to back down. They didn't. So we settle on racing for $100 at Mustangs Unlimited, no problem. Before we left, the hoe looks over at me and says "psssh, it's just a Miata so im going to drive" as she looked to her retard bf. We get there, line up and i proceed to SMOKE the DA. Suddenly the $100 she flashed seems to have disappeared. Well the good 'ole boys got pissed. She jumped in the car and started to drive off when out of nowhere one of the guys runs from like 20ft away and does a flying-double leg drop kick on her rear quarter panel and pushes the whole thing in! ***** still left. Oh, turns out someone installed the timing belt wrong and thats why it was making a "wooooshing" sound, which they thought would be intimidating.

Another guy told me he made his own short throw but cutting a 3 inch section out of his stock shifter and welding it back together. One guy told me that him and his buddy had a 2.0 rsx motor that could make 2000hp. I asked him what was down to it and he responded "Titanium sleeves, titaniuim pistons, titanium block, basically everything is titanium. Its twin-turbo and runs on race fuel."
A guy at a stereo shop told me his 91 corsica ran on jet fuel and put down 8sec quarters. The same guy who cut his shifter put 103 octane in his civic that had a SRI and a muffler. He also said the vtec on his civic would only kick in when he pushed the horn because he wired it like that.
