I get concerned about the perception of America in the middle east. Understand that we are making an impression on their children, which to me is breeding hatred for America. I'm a student at North Georgia College and State University located in Dahlonega. I'm in the corps of cadets. No, I'm not active military status, but I walk and talk with soldiers of the past, present, and future. Some high ranking, some that get kicked around. Some in the army, some in the reserves, some in the natty gaurd. Many with family and/or friends overseas.

I have seen fear in the eyes of no one up here. Many of them WANT to go back. They say over there life is NOTHING like the media portrays it to be. Sure, it has it's differences, but for the most part, things are similar. The children (most of them) over there love our soldiers. Our soldiers have made their good grounds with children, as well as many adults. Many of the middle easterners WANT our presence over there because for the first time in several years women and children are finally able to walk the streets.

FUCK! I just remembered they're selling Hinder/Puddle of Mudd concert tickets on campus. Student life is great. Free concert FTW!

I spent a night in my car in arizona. Apparently it got up to about 127 the day I was out there. I asked if this was as hot as it got. Basically...most people out there WANT us over there. The REAL problems the world is facing is NOT in the middle east. However, media chooses to only cover it because that's what america wants to look at. If you wanna see something far worse than that, get on yahoo and do a search for "Invisible Children." THEN tell me how horrible Iraq is.

In addition, yes, there are nuclear devices over in the middle east. However, keep in mind we are a leading nation in the world with one of the best departments of defense. If I'm not mistaken, the only country more powerful than us is China...but don't quote me. Also, we have the United Nations, and other such organzations and treaties that prevent people from using such devices. In addition...these terrorists aren't dumb. They realize that if they were to shoot an attempt of a nuclear device at us, we have plenty of ammunition in reserve. We, the public, don't even KNOW half the military technology and power that the united states has. I met up with one MP (military police) that was set to work out in Nevada. He said he saw so much crazy shit that was completely indescribeable, and he doesn't even know what the hell the things were. They were confidential. There's missle silos out west that the public isn't even made aware of.

Not to mention, do some research on youtube.com for "Military Technology" and you'll see SOME of the stuff we have that the public knows about. It's insane the knowledge and technology we have.

On a final note, a video was also released on 60 Minutes that shows that what we see on the media is rarely real. A 60minutes reporter went to the middle east to do a special. It was based where (I'm gonna mix up the religions, forgive me) Israelites and Muslims had property (I don't recall if it was a place of worship or whatnot, though) and when he got there he was shocked at what he saw. The two forces were NOT fighting each other as had been reported time after time here in America. It was french media setting up with people and making it look as if people were being slain left and right. From an outside view (viewpoint of the 60minutes crew) it would show a man "shot" and IMMEDIATELY an ambulance would pull up, and civilians would pick the man up (not gently, might I add) and open the doors and toss him in the back. The van would drive around the block once, come back, and the man would get out...suddenly "healed". Another shot was taken where I man fell and civilians picked him up and carried him TOWARDS where the "oncoming fire" was coming from. Basically...the french media is setting us up and selling out. Most of what you see on camera (in the cities) of war is NOT real. It's nothing more than a set with a camera man, and actors. Nothing more.

Alright, I'm gonna try to keep this post short...

History:
It started with three highschool boys doing a project on a "war" they heard of in Darfur. They discovered what no camera has ever seen from a 3rd world country. What's sad is America doesn't have a clue it's going on because everyone's distracted with the middle east. There's a rebel that started as one man and slowly collected people until they grew. These rebels hide away all through the day and only come out at night grabbing anyone they can. Over the age of about 15 is killed. Anyone under (as young as about 4years old) is kidnapped and taken away from the city. They're savagly between until they give in to the elders who are teaching them to kill and use guns. The children are brainwashed and put in fear for their lives being told "If you don't kill at least 10 people when we go out tonight, you will be killed." It's not just a threat, the kids are actually killed in front of everyone else. It has them in a fear so they are brainwashed to want to kill.

Due to these rebellious forces, THOUSANDS are forced to commute at night by foot to small areas where they sleep with no more room than an adult would have in a baby's crib...just so they can make it through the night.

For example, they recently let us know about the...I think it's the gamma-ray gun? If you haven't heard, it's a big fuckin' truck that pulls up. A bay opens up, and the driver inside can shoot people with it. It does no physical damage to the human body, but every cell in your body feels like it's on fire while you're being "shot at" with this gun. So...pretty much immediately you drop or run.

It's going to be used mostly for riot control, because the vehicle is practically UNSTOPPABLE. You can seal up the inside, and there's no way in. They showed the vehicle drive through a mobile home like it wasn't even there...

They wipe us out. Is there anything we can do other than join or support our troops? Yes. But how much really? If someone wants to do evil to you they will.
