One of my really good friends (NAIZBST on here) was there for 15 months and what he told me about first hand was almost completely different than the fucking media made it out to be, that's why I don't even watch or read all that bullshit. I had a dream in HS that our planet got thrown into a new ice age by some meteors that slammed into earth (yes I know they made it into a movie) and if I'd dwelled too much on it, I'd have spent the past 10 years hunkered down in an underground bunker who knows where.We're all going to die, either from nature or man, and we aren't all gonna go as peacefully as Anna Nicole. I get concerned about the perception of America in the middle east. Understand that we are making an impression on their children, which to me is breeding hatred for America. Retaliation could be decades away, for people who rely on religion in every aspect of their daily life I seriously doubt this will be forgotten.
As for Iran, not many people know that Iran has been an ally to America until recently. I think they want a peaceful relationship with America and knowing that Bush will be out of office in a year and a half I doubt things will escalate.
If there is a nuclear war I just hope im at ground zero of the first bomb. I dont want to live through anything like that.

I'm a student at North Georgia College and State University located in Dahlonega. I'm in the corps of cadets. No, I'm not active military status, but I walk and talk with soldiers of the past, present, and future. Some high ranking, some that get kicked around. Some in the army, some in the reserves, some in the natty gaurd. Many with family and/or friends overseas.
I have seen fear in the eyes of no one up here. Many of them WANT to go back. They say over there life is NOTHING like the media portrays it to be. Sure, it has it's differences, but for the most part, things are similar. The children (most of them) over there love our soldiers. Our soldiers have made their good grounds with children, as well as many adults. Many of the middle easterners WANT our presence over there because for the first time in several years women and children are finally able to walk the streets.
FUCK! I just remembered they're selling Hinder/Puddle of Mudd concert tickets on campus. Student life is great. Free concert FTW!
