My dad's car club puts on an anual show at the Lagrange Mall every August. The last couple of years a class for Sport Comacts has been added. We were talking about adding a class for modified trucks. How many of you would be interested in participating & how should the class be labeled? We are trying to grow the show to attract a larger audiance, both spectator & participant.
btw, most of the cars & trucks @ the show will be anteques. For you trophy hunters, it means an easy score.
Thanks

As soon as the classes & Date are finalised & I get the info, I'll post it all here.
Last year there were around 100 cars. Original & modified. All but 5-10 were anteques. Some of the cars that stand out in my mind are:
55 Chevy Street Rod
69 SS/RS Camaro
22 Model T Touring Car
31 Ford Victoria
Chrysler 300 w/ a 440 Cross RAM
So not so much like Nopi or HIN, but there'll be some cool cars

yea, i understand but will it be biased towards the imports and non muscle cars? im not gonna drive 2 hours to only have my car looked at for a minute and not judged because its not a 69 gt500. if theres gonna be a specific category for imports then id be willing, but if everythings gonna be in the same group. i know sure as crap my car cant compare to a 69 SS

There is a specific class for Sport Compacts. They are judged.
In addition to trying to expand that class we are trying to open a class for late model trucks. I just need to know about how much participation there will be.
I don't know what the entry fees will be. IIRC, last year it was $10-$15.
Thanks for your input.
When I get more information, I'll let you know.
