    thanks for the bump and when i think about it . the motor never did come with the jdm ecu. We been running the d16y8 ecu, and it's perfect "no checklight".

    hmm, 3rd stage of vtec wouldnt kick in then.... its between 0 and 2500 rpms. computer doesnt turn it on, it doesnt come on.... wicked clean and good price.

    thats the economy vtec motor from japan by the way. its like the d15z1 here. thats why it has two solenoids. g/l nice looking motor none the less.

    this the motor where they merge both the vtec-e and the regular d15b vtec into one. so from 0-3000 i believe it's in economy mode, and from 3000-6000 the first vtec kicks running in 16 valve like the d15b vtec, and secondary vtec at 6000-7200.

    the only bad thing i could say is i don't have the jdm ecu to run, but it's running excellent with my regular y8 ecu.
