you cant rebuild cusco comp 1 coilovers, so gl getting 250 man. there about as good as blown stock struts, especially with the ebay rear coilovers. But unever know so gl

Typical of a BYT member to get so snappy. I changed my last post, cusco comp-s coilovers cant be rebuilt. Cusco comp-s coilovers use Kyb CLOSED type dampers like k sport, so all you can do is send then in and cusco will replace them but not rebuild( with cash). Thats if the take them
Dont get ur panties in a wad bc all i was doin was wishing you luck. So you may want to call cusco back up and clear up your information my friend.
Btw- 9/10 when you send them back they check to see if they are damaged or the warranty(if they have a warranty)is still good. if you have springs on them that are not cusco,like the rear springs are not, then they will not replace them bc it voids the warranty. Just fyi

then what are they doin to them? how much does it cost to get them "rebuilt", as u said. this is good information for people to know.
i have gone to cuscos webite and tried to contact them but had problems. . please give me the number so that i can call bc i know i don't wanna buy something that cant be fixed. the only number i found on cuscos site was a number that was located in japan. when called, i couldn't understand a dang thing they said bc it was in japanese i assume.

that information is incorrect in this instance. It only applies to dampers that are able to be rebuilt such as Konis, Bilstein etc...
The ones pictured (I'm assuming they are the ones for sale) are Cusco Comp-S coilovers and utilize a sealed type damper which can not be rebuilt. However, it can be replaced.
Seeing as much controversy as you newblets are stirring up when it comes to suspension on which can be rebuilt and what-not i made a couple phone calls to double check my sources. First on the list was:

- Master Dist. for Cusco USA. They confirmed that the dampers cannot be rebuilt but only replaced. Upon my asking how much the replacements cost the gentleman on the phone said they weren't doing that right now and directed me to "the other" distributor in Huntington Beach:

- Went through the same process of providing the part number and asking for replacement dampers. After being transferred away from the Japanese lady who apparently didn't understand my southern accent i talked to their sales rep. He gave me the price of 435$ per corner, and they'd have to be special ordered from Japan. Shipping time would take 4 to 8 weeks.
There you go gentleman. Not trying to be a jerk, just getting to the bottom of things.

I'd like to know who your hookup is with Cusco that can rebuild their shocks, as well as what the "price quote" you received totaled out to be? I'm afraid you were not telling the truth... which would have negatively affected yet another buyer here on IA. I've witnessed your dealings in the past, and can say they weren't up to scratch - which makes me question your character.
At any rate, all i did was post facts, with sources to back them up. If you'd like to dispute them, then please do so without the third grade insults. Leave the name calling for the Whoreslounge, you're making yourself look foolish with these nonsensical postings.
