Thread: h23vtec engine parts...

    Default h23vtec engine parts...

Everything is OBO so throw me an offer

JUN III cams, springs, retainers, with new Volution Racing adjustable cam gears- CAMS SOLD!!!

Iceman CAI w/ filter and all connecting pieces- $100

WWRS side skirt (only one)- $50

MSD SCI igniton w/ MSD blaster coil & MSD spark plug wires- $250

As for the motor: It is damaged... but is definitely fixable. This motor is perfect for someone sleeving! My lude did 220whp last summer on this setup. A valve head dropped... cracking a piston and scarring the cylinder walls...nothing else was hurt though and it still rotates over. The h22 head is pretty beat up with damage to a few intake valves and one exhaust valve seat but with machine work it's useable... or great for parts. The block is a BBBB that was bored/honed for .25mm type s pistons.

the h23 crank is balanced and in good shape- I'd like to get rid of the block as a whole instead of parting it.... comes with NEW timing belt, water pump, and headgasket also... asking $400 for the complete block or $500 for the whole motor... all spare parts included

    damaged piston, walls:

Yo i got a question. The Type-S pistons you have in there are on an h22 rod and crank setup or and h23 rod and crank setup? If h23, how did you know that you wouldn't have piston to valve contact with the longer stroke from the h23 parts? And have the rods been rebushed for the type-s pistons? Basically I trying to figure out if that bottom end will have valve contact with me jdm h23a head that i want to put on it. I want to run better cams with it but don't know if the added lift will cause my pitons to hit my valves. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

i think i pm'd you about this.... but claying the motor is the only real way to be 100% sure there is no contact... Those pistons do stick out a bit, but clearance was fine with my h22 head.... and when claying I had the lobes locked into vtec so surely with an h23 head you'd be more than fine (valves open more in vtec and are pushed down farther.... so with non vtec there should be no problem)
