* the head is off of a 2000Si (b16a2) that had about 40k before being pulled.
* DPR Stage 5 port job
* full race valve job
* DPR + .5mm bigger intake/exhaust valves
* Calico coated intake/exhaust ports, as well as coated valves.
* DPR racing valve springs and retainers

Thanx - I am literally throwing away $1k on a brand new piece. Pics will be up tonight. The head is where most people skimp out - which is funny b/c you will find the most power there. At any rate - this is the last head you will need to buy and will hold its value if you ever need to move it in the future. Thanx man. TTT

This head was built for turbo, not N/A. Less than a 2.0L (unless it's FI/NOS) will not be able to make maximum use of this head. Sure - it will make more power than anything you could put on the block - lol... but the head would just be cruising and not used to it's full potential. Very rarely would you need oversized valves for a n/a STREET car app. I sent a message to DPR for the charts. You DO know that the numbers will vary bench to bench though.

PS: This head was actually built for Joe Demaree (NHRA Hot Rod Class) pro driver (who won in St. Louis on 9 June - congrats Joe!!! LOL)

That's why I was kinda scratching my head. But since they're only .5mm bigger, I suppose I could see that for a big bore motor built to turn high rpm's.

Good luck with the sale. It almost looks like the inner surfaces of the head are coated with a heat/ friction coating - or is that just the pics?

+.5 won't hurt your power, even for a stock bore block. It's impossible to put this head on a stock block and lose power (ultimately). The key would be the cam profiles to really use the head fully. Calico went through the head and valves totally. My guess is that if you are running race gas or alcohol and aren't getting full burn, you'd burn through the coating on the valves. It's hard to hurt the coatings w/ just pump gas though. When my Inline Pro block came apart to freshen the rings I still had plenty of coating and it was a big shot nitrous block. But more important than the bore, your CRs and revs are gonna be more of a factor for the oversized valves. Even a stock b16 revs enough to get gains from such a small overbore. Small enough where you can run a stock bore, but enough to see the difference on a dyno and the street - can't lose. Especially if you kill a bottom end, you aren't forced to wait on a sleeved/overbore block to get up and running again. Thanx for the bump homey.
