I was in the white 4 door with the red gt3s... 2300 pound 4 door with full interor and street tires{16's} . I started out running 13.6's as i got some dr's and they were to large. I was over powering them at the start and was underpowering them at the top end... Put my street tires on and picked up 4 mph and started dropping my times.. Got it down to this...
rt .050
60' 2.223
330' 5.991
1/8 8.878
mph 89.15
1000' 11.278
1/4 13.287
mph 113.56
Its got a 12 in it on slicks for shure ....Just spinning thru 1-3 unless i give it half throttle and a lot of feathering...Not to bad for a 4 door...

Couldnt get the car to hook for **** even with 275s and no traction down the track... drag slicks next time. had to take off slow then feather everytime i shift due to traction problems prolly lost a whole 2secs atleast and 5-10mphs

My best trap speed was 103.76. This was my first time at a dragstrip, and I was not launching. (RPM at idle before green light)
My first time at the track in 7yrs and having no clue as to what I was doing. Also, my gearing/tire size SUCKS for 1/4 mi. I was running out 4th about 200-250ft before the last beams... so by the time i'd shift to 5th and get back into boost it was nearly pointless. So on this run i just ran 4th, bumped the fuel cut and coasted. If i go again, i'll either be running a smaller wheel/tire and short shifting into 5th OR run a taller race slick (not a DR, just some sticky slicks i have sitting around) so 4th will get me through the lights.
This was on my bogged launch on Nitto NeoGen street tires. I know with even a better street tire {different size} and good launch I should be in the very low 13's and ~105mph+

Is it stock? Mine is bone stock, with some weld in flowmasters, and I wen't some 13.0's driving to the track in the middle of summer, without any cool down of the charger. I suspect it'll go a bit faster with some cooler weather. I was just curious.Originally Posted by DieselNuts
What track were you at?Originally Posted by Init2winit
Ive got an intake, o/r X, weld in flows and just installed a 2.76 minutes before heading to the track. I had to let out of it in every gear to muster those times. Plus, I havent learned the best launching technique for this car yet.
i'M KINDA PROUD OF THIS ONE.
any cobalts running up there?
their was one guy, with the ss version dataloging because it was his first time being at the strip.Originally Posted by big mac
That was at silver dollar. I took it to commerce one time, and it was about a tenth slower. Same senario though, drove it there and didn't cool it off. What programmer do you have? An old cobra I had, had the same mods as yours except for the exhaust. It had the factory h-pipe, and a mac cat back. With a diablo predator, it made 480 to the wheels with a pretty much perfect tune right out of the programmer. I didn't even have to make any adjustments.Originally Posted by DieselNuts
holy hell. I have the predator with the box pulley tune. Im looking to get a borla stinger catback and ditch this factory piping. I've been hearing that you can actually make more power with a catted mid pipe vs. an o/r unit. You know anything about that?Originally Posted by Init2winit
