you have a mid to low 11 second trap speed.

car is MUCH faster with the GTK, you just cant hook up

r/t sucks ass... car is making plenty of power the car is 30+ on the back half, I think just with practice and tire change you should be able to go high 11s - 12.0 realistically. What kinda DR... Nittos no good... BFG KD okay... you need something like a M/T Street drag if you goto a bias tire make sure you get some for the rear. If you mix a bias with a radial the cars like to sway a lot at the big end.

I wish we could run M/T Street's but the only way they will fit without serious rubbing is if we have coilovers.

you 60fts suck balls. you should be able to get a 1.8 on DR, 1.6/1.7 on slicks.

As you can see with the bigger turbo , you increased trap speed by 11mph, yet our 60ft got WORSE.

you got faster everywhere, except for your 60ft

you have traction problems or you arent launching high enough

i was lanching @ like 4k, and i promise dude, i am NOT SPINNING. the 60 ft is worse cause 1st gear i dont hit but like 4psi, i cant build enough load on the motor to spool the turbo, second gear i hit like 15psi. 1st and 2nd gear my car is slow as shit, once i hit 3rd it pulls really fuckin hard but the issue is not traction, the issue is spooling the turbo and thats why my 60ft times are worse.

    GTK = Top End forreals

All these ppl say your 2.0-2.1 60' sucks, they themselves can't get 1.8-1.9 consistently so don't let that bother you. I honestly think 2.0-2.1 is a realistic 60' on DRs for most setups, only every once in awhile will someone get lower than 2.0 on DRs. This is what I've seen from ppl that race at the tracks in Georgia.

i allways hit 2.0-2.1 60's but thats on 225 BFG DR's which suck if u make TQ. i really need some ET skreetz but in order for thoose to fit on my car i need coilovers, maybe next season

Wow, 11mph in the 1/4 is a HUGE difference.

I've never dragged a FWD car, so I don't know what it's like to launch one. But most "average" drivers with DR's can usually get like a 1.9 or something (or lower if you're pretty good)

well this is stock turbo VS GT-K....

it better be a huge differance in trap. lol.

as far as my 60ft times go, i'll just keep working on it, this was the 1st time i my life i ever drove a car over 300whp. maybe i should have lanched higher, but then i would have been 1kRPM under my rev limit, i dont know.

try slipping the clutch off the line, install a roll control... it may be hell for your brakes and driveline, but if properly done your '60 should come down.

i was slipping the clutch off the line pretty hard but i really think the track time are gonna change BIG time in a few weeks once i get my new turbo and a retune. im also gonna get some slicks because i will get boost alot sooner which will make for alot more TQ which will make for traction issues.

while im not disputing the turbo might be too big for your limted RPM range, the 60ft is DEFINETLY capable of being faster. Try launching at 5500 an slipping the clutch.

Guys with 160whp NA are cutting 1.8 60fts on DR, i dont see why a 400whp turbo car cant.

An sorry kevin, i ran 2.0s on KUHMO HP4 passenger tires with 180whp. 2.0 is not respectable , you guys arent launching high enough.

Launch it like a race car, dont baby that bitch!

oh im not saying my 60ft times are great or even good, but they arent terrible. this was my 1st time ever driving a car over 300whp so i still got to get used to it at the track.

in 1st gear my car is 180whp NA too

    dont give up yet.

my car makes 200whp until 6000rpms. It ran 11.0. at the track, bottom end isnt that special, as long as your gearing is matched an you have top end power.

i ran 2.0 once or twice when i ran the 13.8@102

most of the time i was around 14.0 with 99-101mph traps with 2.2 60 fts on 50k mile passenger tires

with drag radials, you should be 1.8s . Now, FWD wil ltake some time to get perfect. it took me 4 track events to get out of the 14s. first time i went to the track i was running 15s until i got used to the car.

    it's okay,

    when i had 250whp, i was hittin 2.0 60's on regular 15" kumho 711's and went 13.2
with about double the power, i'm hitting 2.2 60's on BFG radials at 12.9

    LOL

yeah, my turbo kicks in pretty late, but when it kicks in... it lets loose

so basically, i spin the top of every gear when it kicks in, except 5th on BFG's..
so i vow not to go back until i get me some slicks.. LOL

i was also having problems with my shift linkage popping off, which people thought was a mis-shift

umm...the reason your GT whatever big ass turbo isn't pulling as fast is b/c your rear windows do not have power. It is a power decreasing option they put into Mopars during those years.

but, there have been fixes to this poor design....if you remove all your badges, and replace them with Viper badges...BOOM!!! 51.2hp gain and 63tq extra....

holy shit ant...how ya been bro? car looks great in the sig.

btw chad, its about practice...keep going to the track r/t and 60ft is what you need to focus on...you get that adn you'll be set. I mean shit I ran 8 consistant 14.9's(basically stock IS300) with a 2.0 60ft(basic street tires) launching @ 3900rpms and damn good r/t's...its just a matter of getting into a groove...but then again i had a slow ass car and its really not that hard to drive it either. lol

First off let me say that R/T has nothing to do with 1/4 mile time so don't even worry about that. My first times at the track I would sit there and let the other person leave and then I would go. Your time starts when you break the beams.

As for your times yeah the 60ft. is not that great but I think that you could greatly benefit from a progressive nitrous controler that would allow you to spray a little shot like maybe a 50shot in 1st and 2nd to help spool up that big turbo you just put on there.

120mph trap is good for a mid-high 11. Low 11s is being super optomistic.
