I'm not just getting a nursing degree, I'm getting a BSN (Bachelor in Science of Nursing), and I plan on going back in about 2 years to CRNA school. A CRNA (Nurse Anesthetist) makes around $160-180k/year

Thanks... Like mistacee, most other guys dont think it's a very macho job, but personally I don't care what they think. It's money in the bank and a job that means I can go anywhere in the country and find work.

Well if you are planning on going to an accredited BSN program at a state university, make sure you have about a 3.4gpa and a 1300 or so on the old SAT.

yea the pay is pretty good. Also, If I work nights I get an extra $3.50/hr, and if I work weekends I get an extra $3.50/hr. If I work on a weekend night I get an extra $7/hr. If I work more than 40hours a week I get time and a half. Imagine working 48 hours a week, and the last 8 hours being weekend nights. That would be $31x1.5=$46.50/hr.

You also have to think about the joy of doing it not just the money man. If your not happy in what you do then there is no point in doing it. :cheers:
