^^^You know what would probably help your chances? Showing some initiative on your part. Why don't you call them back. I was always taught when you put in applications and you don't hear from them, call them in a couple of days to just "check on the status of it." Some employers hold off on purpose to see if you actually want the job. When you call them, it shows them that you want to work there because you are contacting them multiple times and not just throwing around applications. Later, QD.

kinda old topic....but i got hired at Toyota parts instead of a super experienced guy, cause they said i called back so many times it showed initiative and that i was eager. also i'm a hell of a lot cheaper than the super experienced guy. dont count yourself out for a job until they say no

If you want a job at a place specifically then call them all the time telling them you want to work. Show up for interviews if your close and be well dressed depending on what job it is. They like people who "get out there" and those that don't wait on them to call you. There are tons of jobs out there, you just have to show that you want that shit.
